Graphical errors

Post » Sat Jun 26, 2010 6:32 pm

I just bought Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics (?5, a steal if you ask me) but when I installed and played FO1 groups of bright coloured pixels were on the screen - they weren't stationary, they were moving around with the action in the intro. I'm guessing I need to change the laptop's graphical options, but how and what to? The OS is Vista and I bought the game as a White Label collection. Thanks for any help!

Try right clicking on the shortcut > Properties > Compatibility > Turn of Visual theme's or
( run in 256 colors ) or even run as Windows 95 or higher.

Not sure if that will definitely fix the problem, usually helps with mostly older games.

Thanks a lot, 256 colours seems to have solved it. It didn't like visual themes though.

It still happens to me every so often even with 256 colors.
Alt+Tab twice solves it though (until it appears again)
