I get it sometimes on multiplayer too, but sometimes I don't and my picture is clear. This is a svckish bug.

I have an option on my TV that's called "Noise Reduction" and at maximum it's reduce like 80% on this f@*#! glitch
In normal vision, because nano vision still look awfull ...
If it can help some people until Crytek launch a patch to fix it !

And yes, it doesn't make the game "unplayable" it's just unacceptable.
We aren't talking about a bug on a specific grafic card or a specific configuration on PC, this is happening on the Xbox 360 !
They should know perfectly how it works (in my opinion)

I can't say exactly how it works, but it's seem to act as the "surface blur" filter of photoshop. kind of.
Anyway i don't think to loose more than the noise of the picture, and it's even look more sharp.

I also put the clearness at minimum, it's generally reduce the aliasing in most of the games.

I thought turning on things like noise reduction and such would cause more input lag. When you choose the "game" option on Bravia's it turns features like these off. Oh well, I'll try it.

I just got to the part where Times Square gets dark and the game looks like complete crap. I'm actually going to stop playing until this gets fixed. And if it doesn't get fixed I'll just play multiplayer and tell my friends not to bother picking this game up.

I have grown tired of ranting about this glitch as well and have gone back to just playing the game with the glitch. However, I will continue to post on this thread to keep it on the top until this issue is fixed as it is the biggest issue the game has as far as I am concerned. Cry-Tom or Cry-Adam please sticky this thread so we don't have to bump it up anymore.

I thought I hadn't seen this problem until I just watched that youtube video showing it... I only saw it once through the campaign and it was on my first run through and I just thought it was supposed to be really thick fog lol

Didn't Cry-Adam say he would get back to us as soon as information becomes available? At least we heard from him. Now lets see how much longer we have to wait for a fix. I was playing this again last night on the "Met Life" building level. The grain was absolutely horrible and the worst I had ever seen it. A night level of course. Please crytek fix this "ugly" bug that is basically smearing a pretty face.

I dunno if this has been posted yet, but I figured out an easier fix for this that the "sign out, start new game, reload chapter you were on" fix

when you start getting the glitch, wait till you get to a checkpoint, exit to the dashboard and eject your disk tray and then load the game again and go to resume game

this way you don't have to start at the beginning of a mission and you get to keep all your weapons


i've tried this fix several times and it's worked every time
