Graphical issue (grain or parasite)

Post » Thu Dec 02, 2010 12:09 am

It is a game bug that needs to be fixed and HAS to be addressed. PS3 and PC versions do not suffer from this glitch.
"It is a game bug" yes it is a game bug..that is why most part of people dont have this bug.. And only you 8% of people have this bug..

Lorenzo,
esto es porque no has llegado todavía a las fases nocturnas del juego. Cuando llegues también tendrás el problema.
Deja ya de insistir, por favor.
Lorenso,
this is because you have not yet reached the stage of the game at night. When you arrive you will also have the problem.
Quit insisting, please.

It doesn't affect FPS at all. I can load every map with mission replay and play any mission without the glitch. If I play continuously from the beginning and eventually run into the glitch all it does is make things ugly. Doesn't change FPS at all. It is a game bug that needs to be fixed and HAS to be addressed. PS3 and PC versions do not suffer from this glitch.

Ah ok i didnt realise that. Damn only 360 version has this? That is terrible. Most people have finished campaign now and didnt get to enjoy the full graphics. Myself included. Totally not on. The next patch better fix a lot of issues or the community will die.

Loved how they claimed last patch fixed two music tracks playing at same time and a certain track playing very loudly. I still get these problems. Just useless.

They have a brilliant game here but there are issues that need to be resolved.

Can you please show me where you've gotten this 8% statistic? Go to any message board dealing with this game on the net and you'll find several threads dealing with the grain glitch. And even if it was only 8% then if 500,000 people bought this game then 4000 are encountering this issue. More than enough reason to fix it. But regardless, your 8% statistic which you posted in your broken english is quite like your english in that it's pulled right from your ass.

Crytek, FFS!!!

Your making it VERY hard, to keep supporting/praising you as a company.

The grain-glitch should have been fixed by now. Should have been in a hot-fix 2 days after release. And yet, we have all been VERY patient.

And don't give us that crap, with you looking in too it, or have to wait on microsoft to get a patch out or something. Grow some balls, take care of your fanbase. This is not helping your future releases. I might only be one guy, but if this grain isn't fixed, then I wont buy any more games from you guys, even if you have a big fat Valve logo on the box.!

I never sell my own games, I always keep em. But since Crysis 2 is fairly new, I think I'm gonna try and get some good cash from it. Afterall, I could make an awesome sales-pitch; just use your "Best console graphics ever" that is on the box. And don't mention a grain-glitch that can counter that.

Oh well...

Well said. I feel the same way.

A lot of people have joined gamesas just to talk about this 'glitch' alone...That's how serious it is.

I think it's less about the bug and more about Crytek not really communicating with the gamers at this point. A lot of people on this topic are simply speaking out of sheer frustration with Crytek. Personally I agree with what most people on here are saying. Hopefully we will have an answer soon. So with so many people speaking out about this problem to Crytek and the community, is it worth this kind of affectation? I think the answer lies within the question.

I think some people sit to close to their TV's or something because I have no idea what grain crap they are talking about. I would rather Crytek concentrate on real issues like multiplayer than some quibbling about grain that isn't there for 90% of the those playing.

Look through this thread, find the videos posted, see for yourself. Also, where do you get this 90% statistic from?

You only get this bug after a consistent period of play - in my experience 1.5hours or so.

Im sure you have this bug as well, but prob dont play long enough or know what you are looking for.

what's frustrating is the mods will take the time to post in the other threads about this glitch telling us to only post in this thread and then lock it, but they won't give us any sort of info on the actual glitch

It's image control. To have several threads only makes it a more blatant problem. They are covering their butts right now. They will continue to be vague until the next patch and their silence on this particular glitch tells me one thing, it will never be fixed. This is obviously something that is ruining many people's experiences and we haven't even demanded it be fixed immediatelly. We ask for one thing: INFORMATION. Just tell us that it can and will be fixed and I'll be satified and patient. But these vague answers from Cry-Adam are more frustrating than NO response. There is literally absolutely NO WAY Crytek does not know if it's at least a fixable issue. There are only 2 explanations for the lack of info: 1. They can't fix it. or 2. They don't care about the community. I hope it's the latter but even if it is my perception of Crytek's appreciation of their fans has been permanently damaged. I've played many games in the last year and many had bugs but thos developers were there FIRST WEEK explaining they were AWARE of the issue and that it will be fixed. I'm shocked that all Crytek has offered is the same tagline from Cry-Adam again and again. "We'll give info when we have it". BULLCRAP. You know what's up. TELL US.

Just sticking my nose in here and saying i also had the problem from 'Lights out' onwards. Thought it was an intended change at first but then when i moved through different environments i just found it to be really irritating.

it seems like if you catch it before you reach two checkpoints with it visible you can get rid of it by exiting to the dashboard and then resuming your game

but if you play from one checkpoint to another with it visible you're screwed and you have to start a new game on whatever mission you're on

Same here.. no matter how long i have been playing.

It′s start at the same place.

I stop playing it until the patch this.
I thought the Film grain was part of the game, but after i read this thread and noticing how bad it gets further in the game i decided to restart and there was no grain at all.

until.. i get this place where it start :(
