Loved how they claimed last patch fixed two music tracks playing at same time and a certain track playing very loudly. I still get these problems. Just useless.

Anyway, does everybody is playing withe console on 720p here ?
Because today i've been playing with the console in 1080p an restart a chapter from the begining, i also play different chapters where the glitch use to appear and i've don't seen it !
I was trying different thing to reproduce the glitch like load an autosave, play chapter by night, with rain or fog... nothing to do, the image is perfect and no more glitch until now !
i hope it's the answer to this problem, i'll come back to say if it's still working.

My Configuration and settings: (just for information, and not sure of all traduction sorry)
Sony Bravia KDL 40W4000 on standard image mode, show every pixel
Retro brightness 5
Contrast 85
Luminosity 70 (Luminosity ingame something like that 55, may be a bit more)
Color 65
Hue color on Normal
Clearness Minimum
all other options like dynamique contrast on OFF
Noise Reduction Hight
Color range on extended or large

Xbox Elite 120 GB Black on HDMI
color RVB, 1080p, Color range on extended or large
display settings auto detect: OFF

That's all if think, i don't say that you have to put this on your TV or Xbox, it's just my setings, it depend on your TV and also the way you like to see the game...

I usually put the Xbox on 720p and let the TV do the Upscale, but this time with this game it seems to work better with console in 1080p

if someone of Crytek (i mean a Dev) could confirm or not theses settings or just give his opinion, it could help

And it also makes no difference how you setup your Tv in color etc.
Its a Game Eninge Bug and has nothing to do with your Setup!

And why should your TV upscale a 720p Signal ?! Theres no upscaling from the TV when you set the Xbox to 720p.
The TV will output "native 720p" too because a Full HD TV supports native 720p and 1080 i/p.
Simply press the Info Buttom on your TV Remote Control and you will see it in your TV...its 720p or 1080p.

I mean not when you found the glitch not try to back to dashborad and set the console in 1080p and load the auto save to see if the glitch is still here.
But to first set the console in 1080p and load a new chapter, without any corrupt autosave.

For the upscale question if you have a TV HD ready who display 1080p, the picture automatically will be in 1080p
the difference is if it's the TV who do the upscale in 1080p or your console, depending on how do you set the display from the console.
if you set up the console in 720p it's your TV who upscale the picture in 1080p on your HD TV
else if you set the console in 1080p it's the console who make the upscale in 1080p.

Setting the console in 720p and althought your TV information say that the game is in 720p, it's only refer to the signal the TV receive witch is actually 720p but your TV is doing an upscale in 1080p to cover all the screen resolution. Else if, you should see black all around the picture if it really were in 720p in a 1080p TV.
Like 1:1 pixel display.

I really do want to play this game again but this bug is still stopping me. I don't want to have to put up with it. None of us do. And Lorenso, you really do need to shut the hell up.

I think some people sit to close to their TV's or something because I have no idea what grain crap they are talking about. I would rather Crytek concentrate on real issues like multiplayer than some quibbling about grain that isn't there for 90% of the those playing.

You only get this bug after a consistent period of play - in my experience 1.5hours or so.

Im sure you have this bug as well, but prob dont play long enough or know what you are looking for.

You are correct last night I looked closely after the first hour or so and yes there's a pattern that overlaps the image that looks not quite right. I thought maybe it was for visual effect but it seems like when you reload a level it's not there or less visible. It looks like some sort of effects artifact. I thought maybe it was to simulate how the world would look through the suit's visor and the effect used I guess portrays that, but it could also be an artifact.

Good to know that we have Crytek's attention. Hopefully it will be patched sooner rather than later. Until then, I picked up Mafia II so I'll be playing that. No sense in playing a game that has the "best graphics on console" when a glitch negates it.

I have stopped playing this game until they fix this bug.
I thought the Grain glitch was intentional and i didn′t notice when i start playing but now that i know it′s a bug is annoying!

Even though i want this game to sell big (I almost want good things to achieve good money) I know this issue is REAL. I don’t have a camcorder but… Why don’t you start posting your videos here? Maybe Crytek believe us more if we do so. And PLEASE don’t stop playing and recommending this FANTASTIC game. It is just awesome!! Now, If you do something wrong, you’ll want to fix it Right? Maybe it will take some time but you’ll fix it anyhow.
So for all of you out there: The “Temporarily fix” really works (Turn off your console when you see the f******grain issue, and then restart the level from the beginning again) You will have the best Xbox 360 graphics experience ever. And even if you don’t, PLEASE! This is not an ordinary FPS: This is CRYSIS 2 for Christ sake… This is the best f****** FPS out there. So, stop whining about the graphics (like if you don’t ever enjoyed Super Mario with its BS graphics) and GO BACK AND PLAY CRYSIS 2.
I know that CRYTEK will learn its lesson after this. And even if they don’t… Believe me CRYTEK: just don’t expect us to buy your games. I rather play COD Black Ops with its Bull S*** “hide-behind-a-wall- and-never-move” AI (But clean graphics and fun gameplay) than your games.
