Graphical issue (grain or parasite)

Post » Thu Dec 02, 2010 5:02 am

Maybe this glitch is part of the game engine to solve graphics on xbox360

Clarify.

what i meant is that maybe the XBOX360 had some problems down the road with the graphic engine. And by adding this "filter" they can use other lower res texture without you noticing since the "grain" is there.

Just guessing.

that can't be true because you can play the same sections of the game WITHOUT the grain and it still performs exactly the same

just much prettier

It really seems like people have gotten fed up with this and aren't posting anymore. Hopefully Crytek is still working on this issue though.

If this glitch isn't corrected by Friday I'm trading in this game, warning all my friends and family not to purchase it, and never buying another Crytek game for console. No information, no communication, nothing. In the beginning I sang this company's praises and heavily promoted this game. If we get a fix this week my confidence will be restore to some degree. If not then, so long Crytek. It's a shame really. Fix the gain for crying out loud.

Lorenso, lets say your right...

Please explain these questions with valid answers.

I like all of us here developed the gain problem.

In an effort to fix it for now I did the following

I LEFT XBOX 360 ON GRAIN WAS ONSCREEN,
QUIT SINGLEPLAYER
STARTED A ONLINE PRIVATE LOBBY.
I SEE THE GRAIN HAD GONE
I THEN STARTED A LEVEL ON SINGLE PLAYER:- NO GRAIN, IT WAS GONE AND STILL DOES NOT APPEAR ON MULTIPLAYER ON MY 360 TO THIS DAY (FINISHED SINGLEPLAYER)

During this scenario

I NEVER TOUCHED THE TV IN ANY WAY OR TURNED IT OFF VIA REMOTE.
NEVER TOUCHED THE 360 IN ANY WAY
I NEVER EJECTED THE DISC
NEVER QUIT THE DISC OR GAME LEFT IT ON WHILST I DID ABOVE
I NEVER TOUCHED THE CABLES OF 360 OR TV OR ANY OTHER LEAD.

My first question is this.

If it is a fault "MY END" why did it go on trying the fix method, a fault would not vanish if it was hardware it would never go at all or if it did it would come back eventually (until the faulty part or "Old TV" was replaced!) when it has not for me, I DID HAVE BAD GRAIN LAST WEEK ON SINGLE PLAYER UNTIL I PERFORMED SUGGESTION NOW NOTHING.. Has my TV or 360 HEALED THEMSELVES !

My second question is this, and I quote you

"It is a game bug" yes it is a game bug..that is why most part of people dont have this bug.. And only you 8% of people have this bug..
bug-It is error Which everyone have..
if not everyone have this bug..this bug with your brain, hardware or something else..
In this situation only 8 % of people have this bug

In exact detail can you explain how you got to the 8% of users only having the issue.

Again, YOUR EXACT METHOD on how you got 8%..

Over to you !

Please answer both of these questions with validity because I reckon you can't and these 2 questions may well expose your ridiculous claims as total ****, but if you can.. well then good on you, you may have been right all along.

LORENSO:- YOUR TURN, ANSWER AWAY I DON'T THINK YOU CAN... AND ANSWER WITH SENSE NOT JUST
"ITS YOU WHO HAVE ISSUE GAME PERFECT"

P.S aint google translator great? (yeah you get my drift !!)

I've stop playing it.
Loaded up the game two days ago and the glitch was still there, eject disk e put it away.

Monday we'll play Gears of War 3 Beta, at the end of the beta i'll check if the grain glitch is still there.

You have a month to fix this, if not i'll throw it in the garbage.

I'm still playing Crysis 2. I have played all of Crytek's games and am lucky they decided to put it on Xbox 360 because my gaming PC died a long time ago. I just play using the start new game, after each mission is complete dashboard at beginning of next stage, restart game and stage I was on with mission replay method and have fun. That way I don't see the glitch. I can usually find all the weapons I need in each stage so it's not a huge deal. However, I can't wait for the next patch that hopefully fixes this grain issue because I would like it so much more if I didn't have to use the method I just described to play. I'm still waiting, but still playing and enjoying Crysis 2.

I cannot believe they not only haven't patched this yet but have actually provided NO INFO at all about this glitch. Not even if it can ever be fixed. This is clearly some of the worst public relations I've seen conducted by a big name game developer in the modern age. Crytek is very behind the times on community relations. Bungie and even Treyarch are LIGHTYEARS ahead when it comes to communicating with their community. I regret in no way trading in Crysis. I'll just get it from Gamefly whenever and IF ever they patch this. Scum.

If this and the other things that need patching in single player don't get patched then I wont be buying another Crytek game. This is my first, it might also be my last. I certainly wont be paying for any DLC.

Don't even get me started on the multi-player issues and the way it's set up.

Hello Crytek??? Need some information....even if you were to just say something like, "Well we're not certain what's causing the glitch but our programmers are hard at work on it." At least then we'd all know that you were trying to fix it. Not saying ANYTHING is really not cool. Not after you've been hyped and marketed to the console community as the shiz-nit developer.
If it's not going to be patched then you should also let us know that too. We need some information please.

They seem to want to guarantee that Xbox console owners will not share the same loyalty with them that we have with companies like Bungie and Treyarch. Companies which keep their communities updated on their concerns. Crytek is like Charlie Sheen coming off the stage laughing that he already has your money!

It's 9:45 US Easter Standard time. I'll boot the game up in the morning. If there's no patch then this game and Crytek will have no place in my xbox now or in the future. If only the company would've given any information on this glitch. A month into the release and no information.
