Graphical issue (grain or parasite)

Post » Thu Dec 02, 2010 9:16 am

I truly cannot believe that they haven't posted any info yet. I've traded in my retail copy and reacquired it through Gamefly and STILL no update or info. I hope my trade in at least costs EA one new sale. Crytek = Worst Community Relations EVER!

I started the campaign again on super soldier and all was fine until I got to the apartment where Gould is. The start of the graphic interference kicked in just after the octopus was shot and the apartment is raided.

It is mild at the moment but by the end of the game it will be awful. What on earth is this problem and why does it start...?

Only Crytek knows why it occurs and they aren't sharing. :/

My xbox version of crysis 2 is being traded in tomorrow for mortal kombat. The support and response from crytek reminds me of some of the all time failures...like atari with boiling point. for me crytek has losts its rep for releasing the filth on pc.

Yeah at this point I think I have to agree with most people on this topic. I'm so done with Crytek, I will more than likely never buy another Crytek product. Their customer relations is absolutely atrocious. Let's compare Crytek to lets say, Bioware for example. Dragon Age 2 was released in an extremely buggy state, even worse than Crysis 2. However, the major difference is that Bioware COMMUNICATED with the gamers on an almost daily basis, responding to the numerous bug posts and letting the community know that a patch was on the way. Bioware is still in the process of fixing any existing bugs post patch, and guess what? They are still closely communicating with the gamers, keeping them up to date. Crytek, if you expect to salvage any of the rightfully pissed off gamers, you should perhaps have a sit-down with Bioware Customer Relations and take a few notes. As for me and apparently many others however, it's too damn late.

I agree totally i jumped back on here tonight to see if there was anything at all being said from crytek or ea or from anyone, I actually thought there is bound to be something from them on these issue's and wow nothing nada, ziltch.

I'm starting to get really annoyed and p*ssed off with this game, the worst part is I actually quite enjoyed most of the game, but the grain glitch is butt ugly and is so annoying, as well as the repeated sound clip being repeated during loading on multiplayer.

I think this is the worst ever experience I have ever ever ever ever had from any developer to date, I've played glitchy games before but at least there was some form of resolve or response and a eventual outcome of games being patched. But this game's support is awful.

To be honest if crytek come out next week and say guess what we patched the game there you go, have fun play it, it's gone past the point where I would gladly say thank you crytek for getting these fixed, I think I would have had a more F*ck U, you've took so long to do it, i don't want to accept your apology and I won't even thank you for doing your goddamn job.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! And to think i'm in UK and I used to work for DSG Retail and they had some bad customer service in the country, but nothing tops this in games industry that I've ever encountered.

Plain and simple CRYTEK YOU GUYS svck AT SUPPORT!

I just signed up for this. The first time I played the game I had no problems at all (only the well known AI bugs here and there). However now that I am replaying the game (supersoldier), the grain problem came out... I thought that it was my console or a problem with my monitor (for a moment came to my mind that it may be a fixed filter of the game that I didnt notice the first time) but thankfully I found this topic.

People its a shame. You made such a good game (I really loved it and enjoyed it) but why so many bugs? Also, I dont know if you understand that the grain issue its a very serious bug that destroys the whole graphical experience. I just want to know why we dont get an answer about this... You dont care at all?

Anyway for now I just have to reload the first mission, go to the first checkpoint and the filter vanishes. What a way to play the game as it is supposed to be...

Just give us an answer please...

crytek have said they are working on it can we just have a rest from spouting off cr ap.wait until the patch is released if its still a problem then start whining, apart from them saying they are working on it theres not a great deal they can say to be honest is there, otherwise they would be here after every post saying we are working on it.if the issue of the grain is such a problem dont play the game until its fixed nobody is forcing you to play it.i for one im not gonna let something so trivial disrupt my fun when playing the game.trivial may be the wrong word but it is only graphics at the end of the day the story to me is superb.

Since you have never experienced the glitch, how can you say that it is trivial ? And yes, nobody is forcing me to play the game, I enjoy playing it and I want to. However there is a number of bugs that destroys the whole experience in periods. I dont think that it is wrong to ask for sollutions or support.

I bought the game day one at 59 euros because I wanted to play it now, not in two or so months. Aditionally, in a two months period the price would probably go down to 20 euros. They could tell ''people, dont buy the game now since its full of bugs and wait for a price drop because at that time there would be a second patch''. Thats why I feel like this, thats why I believe that it is wrong to say ''dont play it until it is fixed'' and thats why I demand these problems to be solved as soon as possible.

Mate the grain problem came to me just yesterday so I dont think that they fixed it...

Just tried playing through the game and not stopping even once I get the glitch just to keep my pistol silencer, but low and behold once they flood the city I lose my pistol silencer. Now after all that I've been dealing with the glitch for nothing. lol. Still don't get to keep my pistol silencer! Oh well, back to playing with the "dashboard/mission replay" method to avoid the glitch. :/ I hope us console players get a patch next week as well like the PC version. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that one.

They've been on a "holiday" since this bug was an issue. Having heard from either of them (Adam) only once through this entire ordeal is unacceptable. This is a serious bug that cannot just be swept under the rug. This bug should be at the top of their list across ALL platforms considering they are really trying to break in with the console crowd and for the simple fact that Crytek is known for its graphical prowess. There's just no way around this....it's a bad situation and not a good way to break in with the console crowd especially when you don't communicate with them.
