Graphical mods to go with MGSO?

Post » Mon Feb 23, 2015 6:14 am

I've just started a new game with MGSO and it's the first time I have a computer that is able to handle MGE. I think it looks completely amazing and MGSO is a wonderful compilation with an excellent installer, but by now it was a while since the latest version was compiled and I wonder which graphical mods that have been released after MGSO 3.0 that you guys are using/recommending? It must be three years or even more since I last played Morrowind so I'm really out of the loop. Skies IV seems nice, for instance, and it seems there are some mesh replacers that aren't included in MGSO as well. Anyway, I'd appreciate some recommendations.

There are literally tons of mods that go well with MGSO and replace some of the textures or do other little atmosphere tweaks. First I would start with updated versions of mods already included in MGSO. Skies IV is absolute must in my opinion, the mod is just brilliant. I would also recommend checking out for Aoimevelho's, Lougian's and Apel's replacers. But these are just a few examples  There are of course also other tweaks that are not just texture replacers - for example awesome Mountainous Red Mountain, or two mods that go well together - Luminous Atronachs and Illuminated Atronachs.

EDIT: Oh and of course a lot of mesh replacers - for example RR mod series, Stuporstar's optimized meshes, or Pherim's work and others.

Thanks for the tips. Lots of stuff to check out. In a way I think Morrowind is the most beautiful game ever.
