Graphics are like through the recon scope

Post » Wed Jan 27, 2016 12:35 am

Something happened and my in-game graphics look like I am looking through a recon scope. Everything is dark and blurry on the sides. Changing graphics settings doesn't help. I tried to post a link with a screenshot here but it says I do not have permission to post links. Can anyone help me fix this bug?

2nd tier of Night Person?

Night vision when sneaky snake?

(it looks like what you've described, unlike through a NV scope)

If you're on PC, the above is a Console Command that will fix the issue. Unfortunately, if you're not on PC, I don't know how to fix it.

Isn't a perk that allowe you to see better in dark? It can mess up the graphics...

I also get this weird graphic thing, but it returns to normal again. Just sleep, fastravel or something like that.

Cheers,

The issue is that when you look down a Recon Scope, or get Night Vision in some way (either from the Night Vision Scope or the Night Person perk), the game applies a...filter, for lack of a better term, to the game, with Night Vision getting one filter, and Recon Scopes getting another. That filter is supposed to be removed when you unscope (or when it hits 6AM for Night Person). However, the filter sometimes gets stuck instead of being removed like it should.

I don't get it... if I built a level 2 scope... why can't I change zoom to the level 1? "tactic", right? there are times I need to use the short, medium, and long scopes depends on situations! I say we should have option to adjust zooms.... lower zooms should be available to us...
