Should I get a Gigabyte 5770 or a GTS450 Gigabyte OC?
Pick whichever one will run better on Crysis Very High, AA 4x, 1690x1050 and with a 1090t processor.

The 5570 if your on a budget.
Don't go for the Gts/Gtx 480 , pick a Gtx 580 {1/4 of the price} :)

the GTX 480 will do way better but I wouldn't recommend it since it runs very hot and loud , my friend is selling his gtx 480 to buy a gtx 580 (it costs about a 100 bucks more than the 480).

btw am I the only one who thinks that crysis looks better with the built-in EdgeAA ?!
"r_useedgeaa = 2" console command does a good job removing the jaggies on the vegetation which crysis is all about :)

I would go for the GTS450 any day,

But if you could I would try to get the GTX470, they have really dropped in price and they are extremely good cards.

The new HD 6870 would be a pretty good choice since it can beat the 5850 and sometimes even the 5870 for like $250. It's a very good budget card in the mid end cards.

Two GTX 460 is the most affordable at the moment. Considering that Crysis 2 will draw a lot of power so I would recommend something with a lot of graphics power.

No guys, 5770 vs GTS 450. No other options please unless in the same price range.

At this point, I highly recommend a Gtx 460, if cash was a bit thin.

But - if you could, try saving up or buy a Gtx 5xx series for Crysis 2.

That doesn't really help.

Now you could try going for an HD 6850 is offers really good performance compared to the 5770 and is like $50 more.

Rig 1:
AMD 1090t
Gigabyte 880Gm-UD2H
Gigabyte GTS 450 OC
4gb 1333 Ram Kit G-Skill

Rig 2:
AMD 1090t
Gigabyte 880Gm-UD2H
MSI Cyclone GTS 450
4gb 1333 Ram Kit G-Skill

Rig 3:
AMD 1090t
Gigabyte 880Gm-UD2H
Gigabyte 5770
4gb 1333 Ram Kit G-Skill

What FPS will the rigs have when running Crysis Very High, 4x AA, 1660X900.
No upgrades, just the fps.

/merged topics - we don't need multiple hardware threads for one person, there's plenty enough as it is :)

I guess, but the lack of good answers is killing me.
