Im just wanting to know something, i have preordered crysis 2 after playing the MP demo. The demo runs sweet and have no issues running on "Gamer" setting, even tried advanced and seen no problems, love the game. But my question is will the single player run fine on my system, the reason i ask is that when i got a copy of warhead from my mate it didnt really work too good, it was a bit laggy (it was a downloaded version, which i only got to see if it would run on my computer). so will crysis 2 work good on my system?

Sorry im new to pc gaming so dont really know anything about it.

My system is as follows:

Novatech X80R Laptop (Clevo)
17" 1920 x 1280 screen
Nvidia GForce 8800M GTX 512mb
Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 2.0ghz
4 Gig Ram
250gig 7200rpm hdd
Windows 7 Home Premium

it will run fine on your system. its gonna be directx 9 based unspectacular gfx. they make it so it runs on the years old xbox360 hardware from fricken 2006 ^^. it runs on every pc. but it will look just bland. consol-style with small areas and repetetive texturing.

Thanks for the quick reply, thats good to know im happy again the xbox 360 is a pretty old computer now and thats the reason i changed to a pc was for the better graphics, ill maybe up the graphics a bit more to see what happens

Why didn't you try putting the graphics on hardcoe first before you made this topic??? - - - But honestly there is no difference between the graphics settings besides shadows and small changes in lighting.

In my experience I didn't notice too much of a change in the MP PC demo changing the graphics settings. FPS was pretty much the same on any setting aside from Res. change, which is strange, the biggest thing I did notice though was less AA in the lower setting's.

And draw distance. On Gamer, the blue doors on Skyline aren't even rendered until you get close to them. Somoene posted comparison pix.

to be honest i really dont know, i thought the single player may have different graphics requirements than the multiplayer demo and didnt want to pay for a game i couldnt run on my system, or run choppy, im going to try it on hardcoe and see what happens

Well atleast the multiplayer runs good on gamer so thats basically what ill play more often then the single player, warhead was a choppy game but that was before i noticed my gpu was running at 110 degrees due to blocked fans, i was wondering if it was just the crappy copy of the game that was the cause as numerous other games are just as bad. but now run good, but i have not checked warhead again.

Just hope im not wasting money on half a game

If you can run multiplayer, you'll run single player People were playing the leaked beta with 8600GT's!

Warhead in general wasnt a bad game.. the issues youre talkin about could be hardware-related.
Or your Disc is broken or something. For me the game looked a bit better than the original crysis but it was also more demanding.
In some areas my framerate ropped below 24 FPS ( in wide areas and the swamp) and my rig is still far from being mediocre...
Without the Patch ive also noticed some disappearing textures.. but the problem was solved after i applied the patch.
Maybe you shoukld also try out msters custom performance config.. the game will run smoother and look better at the same time.

Yeah multiplayer is usually more taxing on the system than the singleplayer, but it may vary wildly since in SP we get large open and detailed maps, and in MP it's the 100m pit of death.
