Graphics Issue: Lines Everywhere

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 5:39 am

Ugh, same issues here. Lines everywhere. Luckily my framerate is good so it's still playable. But yeah,

Radeon 4870
Core i7 920
12GB DDR3 RAM

and it's gridline city on every texture in the game.

I've tried 11.5a, 11.5, 11.4, 11.3, 10.11 AMD driver versions and all produce grid outlines.

It definitely happens at some point during the texture mapping as the grid outlines are not there before the pop in. Funky byte alignment or round off? Who knows.

Ati 4890 here. 11.5 drivers ran the game fine and has the lines. Updated to 11.5a to see if it fixed the issue, now i have lines and it runs like crap. Yay for hotfixes.....

I applied the hotfix as well, and I think that's what caused my performance issues too. I tried various graphics settings within the game as well as in Catalyst Control panel... No dice.

Looks like the game or vid drivers need a new patch to get this to work.

Sigh, I might actually have to go out and socialize in the real world this weekend. :P

Played for about 45 minutes before realizing the lines, then suddenly lines......everywhere. Now they cant be unseen.

Visiontek HD 4890 with 11.5 "Hotfix", did not fix a thing in bull-fukin-hell, blue/reddish tint to everything on certain maps now though. What a great update.

I have really been looking forward to this game, and now fear I have lost 50$. I cant play the game this way, my pc runs every other game at full resolution and highest settings at great frame-rates.

Owell, at least the PS3 guys are having fun playing by themselves.

If you have a 4 series card, post on this thread. Make them notice.

Got lines here too, kinda sad cause i find the game great in itshelf, but the lines kinda turn me off.

Spec: AW m17
Win 7
Core 2 quad Q9000
4 gig ram
2xhd4850 (crossfire disabled since i think the game doesnt support it)

Did a clean update to 11.5a and i think it fixed my crash problems soo far.

The best part is you can't even submit a support ticket about this game to Bethesda, it's not on their games list yet. What EPIC fail.

I have requested a refund as well from Steam, which pains me.

My roommate has this game on his Xbox, and it seems to run well. The game is absolutely awesome, and it's a shame I won't get to play it.

I have this exact gridding issue, with a 4890, and it is aggravating. However, insulting the devs will not help resolve it. Just report your bug and have a little faith.

I have faith the issue will be resolved, I just wish there was a *little* more transparency between the devs and the community. I would like to see a "This is what we're working on" list.

Ok, so about an hour after I posted that I wished Splash Damage would be more transparent with their fixes, they release a blog post and a patch. :P Has anyone had a chance to log on since the patch and see if it did anything for us?

I have been having this issue as well, ATI Radeon 4800 series. Same as most it seems.

I have updated every driver and downloaded every patch and what have you.

Can't wait to see what the maps look like without the lines. If/when it gets fixed it'll be like a different game!

So you have the most up to date drivers AND the new Brink patch and still nothing? Just trying to verify where we stand.
