Yeh I tried the 11.5a drivers too lol, nothin changed. One of the beta testers over in the rage3d forums said theyre currently testing Brink though.

Awesome. If any of you guys find fixes, let us know in this thread as soon as you can. Us 48XX users deserve to play with no graphical issues, too!

I have downloaded every patch anyone has suggested on these forums or in articles about the bugs. Still no fix for the lines.

- the game runs like a console port .
- the reviewers rated it as a console port .
- the admins ignoring the forum as a forum of a console port .

YET ... I STILL OPTIMISTIC :dance:

Ha, I was thinking that too! These damn lines are so awful and distracting, it's gonna be like a whole new game when they finally fix this crap.

You can count another one. 4870x2 with Catalyst 11.5a Hotfix and a nice, stuttering grid everywhere... This game REALLY runs like hell

How much do you love the game? Have you been yearning for it and will pay top dollar to help them fix their [censored]-up or can you forgo the preorder pack and wait for a discounted time even if its way after the problems are fixed?



On another note:
I have download 11.5 and 11.5a installed them both restarted and i still get the lines and worst frame rates than before!
I have a HIS 4870 OC: 785/1090 512mb.
This is ridiculous and Ati has to be atleast 30-40% of the market.
Why does a hot fix make things worse and why is one of the most major series of card svcking totally? Did you guys not test the 4*** series at all?
My brother has a 5870 2gb and he patched his drivers before installing and have played with fine gaming but pretty bad fps for a card of that power.

same problem here running an ati 4870 1gig, not sure what to do about it though. guess ill wait for a patch?

Yeah, we're pretty much just waiting for a patch from ATI / Splash Damage at this point. I have a hard time believing there is a fix that we can apply in the meantime that hasn't been found. I have faith in my internet brothers to find a solution to any problem that can be solved by us

Well, that answers that. It's just the card then. What does the 48XX series do differently than the others...? Ah well, I just hope they release a fix by tomorrow. I want some epic Brink gaming weekend.

I am having the same issue with my 4870x2 white lines everwhere!!!! Also the game seems to be using only 1 video card....

Why do you say the game seems to be using only 1 video card? Where does it tell you that?

Pretty sure I have read this complaint somewhere else too. Probably some other thread about the graphics issues.

this might sounds a bit weird, I play on an alienware m17x and only the left video card is creating heat but if i play some other game heat comes out of both sides. I just installed the AMD 11.5a "hot fix" driver and now everytime i start the game in steam everything just locks up and nothing happens....

what cards does it have? i dont think those drivers work for mobile cards

Yup, same here, I have a ATI Radeon HD 4890, and I have pretty choppy framerate, unnatural gridded lines everywhere, and it also looks like Anti-Aliasing isn't working, or maybe that's just in connection with the gridded artifacts, I hope ATI or Bethesda has a fix for this, I have applied the new Brink patch, but I heard it's only supposed to fix crashing problems, which I don't have and which hasn't fixed anything as far as what I've stated. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

I would appreciate if you showed us how you found out that it's just ATI.
