It appears that the latest driver from Nvidia causes graphical problems when changing level on DOOM 3: BFG Edition. I think the best thing to do is link to a thread on the steam forums about it.

Not experiencing it myself. May be because I hadn't played it since installing and it went through the direct x install when I ran it.
