no graphics settings, and no DX10 or DX11

Post » Mon Jan 31, 2011 12:09 am

We were all told many times over the past year that DX11 would be a major part of Cryengine 3. Now everyone in the PC community is wondering, where is DX11, and where are the graphics settings that every pc game ever made has?? This game is made from the ground up to be multi platform, but does that mean that it has to be crap? Crysis 1 and Warhead were better than this. I am not saying that this is not a great game, because it is great. I just wish that I had not pre-ordered it. And I wish that they had not called it Crysis. This is not Crysis, and it should be called something else. Anyway...... the PC community that created Crytek, has been lied to and its very sad :( This is the kind of stuff that creates a community back lash, and makes people steal and distribute cracked versions of games. I am not just talking about PC games either, because consoles have just as much pirating as PC's do. I just want to know how many people feel betrayed by the company they helped create?

Welcome to the brave new world of console gaming. We're just the svckers who buy PC's to play them.

Yeah because an autoexec is much preferable to in-game settings you can test right away without having to watch the unskippable credits yet another time.

Get your nose out of cryteks ass lol.

Yeah, I'm getting tired of the intro credits when I want to play the game. Yes, I get it. Crytek developed Crysis 2, and EA published it. Can I just play the damn game already?!

Can I just play the damn game already?!If you use Steam you can disable the intro credits by going to your game library > Crysis 2 > properties > set launch options and type "+g_skipintro = 1"

If you don't use Steam, open NotePad and type "g_skipintro = 1". Save it in your Crysis 2 folder as autoexec.cfg

Actually, the "g_skipintro = 1" with notepad autoexec works with Steam as well.

Breaking news people, you heard it here first, Crysis 2 doesn't support DX11. This guy should be an investigative reporter, such are his skills of detection.

I know, but if you use Steam, why wouldn't you use Set launch options? That's what it's for ^^
