Grass, I hate you.

Are you saying that RDR's grass is horrible because it isn't thick and lush but rather separated?

Do you realize that that is how grass is supposed to look in a desert?

I thought this thread would be about the fact that grass was there at all, or was too tall. I can't begin to count how many things I lost in the grass. Kill a bandit with a Daedric Bow in the grass, well good luck ever finding that bow. It was just really bad sometimes.

I do hope they fixed this someway.

They already fixed this in FO3. Any dropped items were still "attached" to the corpse. So when you opened the inventory you could pick up the weapon from there even if it had just rolled down a giant hill deep in the grass.

I live in a desert in Arizona. And the grass is WAY more dense than that. I suppose the question should be for you. Have you ever been to a desert?

Not only that, but we aren't talking about real life deserts. We are talking about what grass should look like in both of these video games. Skyrim trumps RDR in so many ways it's nearly indescribable. Fortunatly, we have pics. Look at these pics of grass and compare them for yourself.

It's obvious which one is better even on consoles. If you own a pc, you should be excited. If you own a console, you shouldn't be discouraged since it's so much better in Skyrim.

No I've never been to a desert, but that doesn't stop me from learning that all of them don't have thick lush grass. Maybe where you live, but not everywhere.

Either way I agree, Skyrims grass looks better (it is a newer game after all), but I still don't think RDR's looks horrible.

Arizona is filled, not with lush grass, but with brown grass. Red Dead is based on the area I live in, and if you go hiking or go anywhere outside the city, brush is thick and everywhere.

Here. http://bikeacrossamerica.org/trip-report/day11/arizona-desert.jpg - Huh, it's actually pretty green there.
