Great game, but help needed

Hi Guys, new player here.

I genuinely think Crysis 2 is the best game of the current generation. I know that there are one or two issues but hey I've loved it so far. No need to list out minor issues and glitches as I think this has been done on here ad infinitum.

I've been a gamer on and off since I was 11. I'm in my 30's now, but I've tended to be a casual gamer. Drop in and out every so often. I've only recently had Xbox live and played a few FPS's online. I'm not very good as its the first exposure I've ever had against "real" players. But I can live with that. I'll improve slowly with experience and time. Being in my 30's I accept I'll get killed a lot given my relatively poor reflexes and reactions! I'm not bothered about KDR's and such like as I play for fun and if I was worried about that I'd always be dissapointed as I can never get it above 1 anyways and usually am around 0.6-0.7! But hey there is more to life than KDR....

Still find it fun though, especially Crysis 2 which is fun whatever happens. Learning to be better is part of it.

I do ok mostly but I seem to really struggle with the Parking Lot map, I just get battered continually on this map. Is it a pyschological "blind spot" or is there something I'm missing? Any tips or advice on this map? Or is it just a case of some maps suiting you and some not?

I've only played that map one time and I got beat down unmercifully. I was playing TDM and the other team was just slaughtering most of us.

I find I do pretty terrible on some of these maps, but I'm chalking it up to being pretty unfamiliar with the layouts and flow of traffic on them. Traffic flow on maps in games like CoD or Halo seem easier to identify. A lot of the maps in this game are far more dynamic than anything I've ever played.

My advice? Just give it time. I'm actually going to go into a private match with a friend or two this evening and just walk around in the maps. I think that should help a lot. Also, if you're playing team games, it might seem obvious, but stick with your team as best you can. Strength in numbers and all...
