Great Idea for Fallout 4

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:10 pm

What is it with people wanting Fallout to be in all these different places ?

Because then you can see the real world, in a game :P I mean omfg I don't need to leave my room for ANYTHING now! ^_^

Go beg the government of whatever country and vicinity you reside in to nuke you, then you can live the dream.

I'm going to ahve to go with Fallout in the US. The entire premise...the hyperconfidence to the point of mania is uniquely American.

Florida would be a better place. There'd be mutated alligators and that sort of [censored]. The Brotherhood of Steel wouldn't be there, and instead you'd have a group dedicated to saving 'Nature' :0.

Villian would totally be a scientist, using the Kennedy Space Center to launch a rocket into space. He'd believe that human's selfish desires ruin the world and so on, and plans to erase all of mankind so animals can take over.

Bad-a.

Radgators?

Radherons?

Irradiated everglades?

Bombed-out Disneyworld?

I agree. Florida would rock.

i thought of an idea. we have fallout 4 be for point where youre in regular life before the nuclear bomb went off. but there is alot of crime and your family gets kidnapped and you have to get them back. and then by that time the vaults open up and you have to get to the vault.

I think fallout 4 should be a mmo or online with like 10 of your friends then i would not care where it was it would just be plain sweet. but i never went to Landon before but I think that could be cool id like to jump off of big Ben lol. I really hope the next fallout is multiplayer and you get to see the main brotherhood of steel base in California or if you want to you can join the enclave and destroy the main brotherhood of steel base but I don't care much for the enclave I'm brotherhood of steel for life lol. Also vehicles that you can dive or be gunner in would be nice.

GTA 4 is nothing like fallout 3 or fallout GTA 4 is where you kill people in New York fallout is where you fight for you life in a destroyed world. I see what you mean with it being like halo online but i was thinking it could be more like Wow or Aoc where you can quest and kill suff together and if you want do pvp with brotherhood of steel players vs enclave players.

I dont think you could jump off Big Ben - Big Ben is a Bell (rather hard to climb, and not an impressive jump down). You could jump off the Clock Tower at the Palace of Westminster though.

I'm almost thinking that the next fallout game could be like a quest for recources. oil, coal, or whatever, and would be more of a journey. It could still b e sandbox style in that say you start in downtown dc or whatever, maybe form a party (optional), then travel across the states, stopping in the NRC and maybe a place or two along the way, each would be smaller sandbox areas that could be ultimately traveled to freely after completing the MQ.. Anyway after stopping in Cali for more supplies rotate party members or whatever, go north to WA. or Canada, with the goal being Alaska because of the oil and other recources which may or may not still be there. Or perhaps you would end up somewhere else in the lower 48 where there is abandoned coal mines.

Anyway the [point is that since in FO3 you get the water flowing again, in FO4 you travel to where the recources may still be which is where FO5 will ultimately take place.. This may be a horrible I literally just thought of it

Sounds like the makings of a great spin off. I wouldn't consider it good material for a definitive sequel however. I also think sandboxing certain locales would be good if developers had enough time to work on each an equal amount, otherwise you get the size of FO3s game world cut up into 3 or 4 different segments which I don't think would be expansive enough on their own.

It would be pretty cool if eventually fallout could be expanded enough so that each state could be recreated in the fallout world and as they were developed you could purchase state by state expansion packs.. I would love to be able to be able to see the entire US in a post apocaliptic FO setting

good point but since that is what started the war in the first place, China trying to take over Alaska for the oil reserves it seemed like it may still be in demand... anyway like I said earlier it might be a horrible Idea, It was a thought

Fusion power was still very new in Fallout's world, and conversion costs were very expensive.

Ah so you want gamesas to put Deadroth back in huh? Also you know gamesas, they seem to be incapable to NOT include White knights and mustached villians. Hell they turned one of the classic sef-serving originations in Fallout in to "Knights of the Wasteland"

You realize they also took the self-serving remnants of the group of White Knights, turned them into their own organization that insults the first organization for NOT being self-serving?

Not to mention that in Fallout 2 the Enclave were the biggest moustache-twirling band of villains the series ever saw, as they were content to simply sit on their oil rig and cackle about how evil they were.

Fallout 3 is a post apocalyptic game.

An Apocalypse happens the world over - by definition.

To say that the Fallout Series is an American Series is like saying that that World Series only involves American Teams.

Oh... Okay. My mistake...

Anyway!

The entire world in the World of Fallout is must be devastated.

To exclude London from the World would surely rewrite American History for a start. :hehe:

I don't think London would be a good spot for the next Fallout (it would make for a great DLC though)

The series should stay in The U.S.
And to whoever said Alaska = Great Idea

Personallly I would love to revisit the Mid-West area

The theme and backstory is uniquely American. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing London destroyed as much as the rest of you.

I think that you are missing out on some of the background in Fallout that keeps the story feeling believable. That is the pure Americana that resides in the background. I think what makes Fallout 3 strong, is that billboards, radio shows, bobble heads, available Pre-war wear, and the music are extremely important in showing that side of American life known as the "The American Dream" I don't actually know if anywhere in the series other than China has been mentioned, next to the US annexing Canada...Obviously the nuclear effects would have an effect on the whole world...but I still feel like its those 1950's style and icons that keep the series grounded.

That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing more of the world in a Fallout game, but it would definitely feel different.

They could do Fallout: Glasgow, they'd barely have to change anything.

The Fallout series isn't about seeing landmarks in ruins, that crap didn't come about until Fallout 3.
