great places to make a cache : Fallout: New Vegas

cache makeing is finding a remmberable area to store gear to save time,also to get the gear you thought was good here...tell me were you would make one and how would mark it for easy finding

Hollowed rock near Jacobs town.

Theres one right by the gate. Most HRs are located randomly but their nice for storage. Not sure if they reset loot though, So I only put chems and ingrediants in them.

i would never trust them with rares + random NPCs could steel from them if near & under attack

I just fast-travel back to my house or to a merchant if I need to get/sell/buy/deposit something.

Even if I do a cache I still have to travel to it, no matter how many I put around the game I will still have to travel to them, so simply going back to the House or a merchant is faster and easier. :shrug:

I use the Footlocker in Doc Mitchells House he never seems to touch anything in there not even food.

I like the Novac motel room. Wish novac had more trading going on though, I would make it my permanent home, other than rocking the Strip from the Lucky 38 with my BoS buddies.

Safehouses seem like a good place to make a cache.

CZ57 Minigun - coffee table
Dinner Bell - on top of drawers
Remnants Power Armor x2 - shelf
Remnants Power Helmet - also shelf
Annabelle - on top of footlocker
Fat Man + 9 nukes - behind couch
Tesla Prototype - right corner
This Machine - bed
Lucky - left nightstand
Alien Blaster - right nightstand
La Longue Carabine - behind TV
Automatic Rifle - bookshelf

I am a bit of... nut I suppose. Less glamorous items go in the safe (weapons), wardrobe (armor), footlocker (ammo)

I only use temporary caches and then its the cointaner closest to the door.
Otherwise I use a base, an empty building with a bed.
So far Victors house in Good Springs suits me best until I reach Vegas.
This migth sound as nitpicking, but isnt. Whats the point of have a permanent cointainer unless you also get a bed and workstations and shops nearby?
