Greatest and strongest Artifact

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 3:50 pm

after reading up on all of the artifacts it is hard to tell which one is the greatest. But if i had to choose i would go with the amulet of kings.Just because of the fact that it hold the fate of an entire empire. But what do you guys think

The Staff of Chaos is up there.

The Totem of Tiber Septim, too. Also Numidium, if that counts.

CHIM.

Thats not an artifact though. It's kind of like Nirvana in what it is, if not in the same effect.

Of course I don't know beans about CHIM. Just some hokey sacred syllable ain't it?

It's apotheosis. Or a means to it rather. Reading Vehk's Teaching is a great way to learn what CHIM is.

I basically said that because there is no strongest artifact. Some may be STRONGER, but there is no "greatest" artifact.

I did. I'm not a big lore buff, but I do like to read the boards and stories and such. I'd say this answer you've given is far more clear than merely saying CHIM.

Not to rag on you though. I'm rather fond of the Oblivion Style Wabbajack. More so if it could (and I guess in lore it does) affect humanoids as well.

Those are all just Wheels/towers though. They are extremely powerful, but because they hold the entire fate of Mundas under their power. The strongest ACTUAL artifacts would be the Elder scrolls. They are all knowledge of all past and present, including the actions of free-willed souls (Heros) howevr, they change their meaning if what they predict for the future becomes common knowledge.

I've vote for Lorkhan's Heart, but it's gone missing again.

Hmmm...does the allmighty banhammer count :P

But for real, i would say that one of the greatest artifacts are either the pitcher that flowed water for ever (Garridan's Tears) and the purse that never emptied (some kind of purse that never stopped giving gold. Sure you have your uber weapons and super enchantments, but things like these save lives rather than destroy them.

lol didnt know this topic would get so many ideas

but i would have to agree with the elder scrolls. Knowing the present and future is more useful than an actual item

What, are you going to throw it at me? Azuras Star with Almalexias soul is just a soul gem with epicness inside of it. But this epicness is useless inside of it.

It would be epic if you broke open the star. The sky got all red and lighting was everywhere. Then you heard amalexia start a menical laugh then she would erupt out of the star made some sweet monolague then started walking towrds you with hopesfire drawn........then gets hit by a bus

lol

I think the explosion if the star broke with a soul that powerful in it would be nuclear preportions, dominating everyone and everything in the area for about 100 miles except for the person that broke it, who Almalexia would thank and be like "uR meh Alli"

umm i dont know much about artifacts and such, but one of my favorites it the daesric crescent, i mean seriuosly they were so powerful that the destroyed all of them after that thing with battlespire(please correct my history as im not to good at remembering all the stuff i read on uesp)
but other than that i would have to agree with the other people and say the elder scrolls, i mean there so awsome that the whole series was named after them lol

The introductions for Arena, Daggerfall, and Redguard always gave me the idea that we were "reading" their events and storyline through actual Elder Scrolls. Truly a marvelous creation.

In one room in the Imperial palace, there are 301. you can only get there in a certain thieves guild quest, and all of thescrolls are exactly the sme. 300 of them are in a room that you can't get to without the TLC console command; but you can see a little bit into. They all look the same, and the symbols on them are not in any of the knon TES languages there is also a map of the stars...ours, not theirs.. in the backround.

Gosh, that's funny. Bethesda invents all these different alphabets, scriptures, and runic symbols, and then we get what (I believe to be) generic real-world astrological and horoscopic symbols.

You didn't have an answer so you just threw out something completely unrelated? Are you just trying to derail into an unrelated discussion?
