Green patches on corpses- MMM related

Hi all, I believe this topic have been asked to death, but I had searched around and tried the various methods like renaming the.bsa to Frans, excluding the MMM in my bashed pactch, but I'm still getting these green patches on the goblin's corpses. I had also uninstalled and reinstalled Oblivion and installed my mods one by one and found out that it is indeed MMM's issue. Is there any way to remedy it? If not, I may have to unistalled this wonderful mod and just go with Frans' or maybe just installed Warcry.

What did you rename the MMM BSA to? Try "DLCShiveringIsles - MMM.bsa".

I used the OMOD installer and thus it renamed the MMM.bsa to Mart's Monster Mod for Fran. I chose that option as I have Frans' mod installed. Ok I will rename the bsa to DLCShiveringIsles - MMM.bsa

Oh, well, that renaming should work...so long as Mart's Monster Mod for Fran.esp is active. Hmmm...

Renamed the data file folder of Mart's Monster Mod for Fran.bsa to DLCShiveringIsles - MMM.bsa, but it is still the same, or is there anypart I do wrongly; perhaps I should edit Oblivion.ini?

Hi,
What form of Archive Invalidation are you using?

BSA-redirection

This method works by tricking the Oblivion game engine into using its bugged ArchiveInvalidation method on the wrong BSA file. By doing this, it allows all files in the main Textures BSA to be reliably superseded by any more recent files found in your Textures folder.
OBMM

For OBMM users:
Start OBMM.
Click Utilities.
Select Archive invalidation. You'll get a popup window.
Click BSA redirection (it's the default choice).
Click Update Now.
Close the Archive invalidation popup (click the red X in the upper-left corner).
Quit OBMM or click Launch Oblivion.

Wrye Bash (Bain)
For Wrye Bash users:
Start Wrye Bash.
Go to Installers tab.
Right-click the column header.
Select "BSA Redirection".

I use the Bash one...

Edit : The LO Has MMM after Bashed Patch. BOSS will straighten that out. I run FCOM but others could help with a FRAN /MMM Install.

MMM shouldn't contain replacer files...although I think it contains a few, but nothing on NPCs... Is your game patched to the latest version OP?

Edit: Wow, I'd just assumed there wasn't a Bashed Patch in that LO. Ooops... Good catch, camaro. Definitely run BOSS on that load order. Things probably aren't even being imported into the game properly. I can't really tell.

I laughed really hard here, its meant to be like that. Its part of the "blood system" the goblins have green blood. Deactivating "Mart's Monster Mod - Extra Wounding.esp" should solve it.

Edit : The LO Has MMM after Bashed Patch. BOSS will straighten that out. I run FCOM but others could help with a FRAN /MMM Install.

Am using the OMOD archive invalidation. But my option was the BSA alteration, just changed as according to your guide, but evertything still remains the same, except that my archiveinvalidation file disappeared. Is that normal?

@ Tomlong: Yep My game is patched to the latest patch.And thanks for the reminder I realised that I have forgotten to reload my mod order by BOSS.

@Hex: YEs! You have got it, its the extra wound.esp effect that is causing, this corpse having green patches, I really thought I was having the same problem some fellow players are having here, didn't realise it is that mod. But still the green textures looks a bit weird to me maybe not seamless enough, personally I feel that the normal red blood should be better. Well I guessed I have to live with it.

@shikishima: Ok, I disabled it, but strangely Boss did not state any confilct of it with MMM. Any reason why I shouldn't load it with MMM? Is it because it may cause doubling, just like that dreaded doubling bug in Morrowind?

Because MMM already contains all the Creatures that Frans has plus more..

Please read the MMM Frans Install , link in sig to MMM thread,

has you will need to reinstall Frans and not select Creatures during the Install and a Few other things has well..

and MMM.bsa should be named -> Mart's Monster Mod for Frans.bsa <- so that all resources get loaded correctly including Voice Files..

I'm actually encountering green patches where the blood should be, not green like goblin blood, a more blue-green. Has this been brought up before? It's weird, it seems to only happen in interiors, or the one interior I had tried. I attacked an NPC outdoors, they got bloody like normal, ran away into a chapel, and when I followed them inside the red blood had turned to the bright green-blue color. Hadn't seen it before the other day.
