Greeneye Scope....

.....Does anyone know what it does differently from the rest of the scopes? I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find a definite answer.

I wonder which type of sight it will work like. A red dot sight or a low-power scope? It's small like a RDS, but it does have "scope" in the name.

Hmm...upon further reflection I'm hoping it's an acog-type scope. But I'm not gonna hold my breath either way.

I would imagine it has a different frame, and possibly a different zoom level or glare.

Night vision would be useless, we got neon-pudding coating our enemies, and there aint exactly no dark-spots :P

And they can't give pre-order content with their own stats, so it has to be a re-model of something already in the game, example: one of the many red dot sights, but.. Green

Actually the Infrared Scope wasn't night-vision; it was thermal.

The one in BO is useless, the one in MW2 was ok for snipers, and they were thermal scopes anyway.

It looks more like a see-through scope rather than just a dot-sight.

Not really. Since you seem to know your COD compare COD4 night vision to MW2 thermal scope and notice the difference. I think the greeneye scope will be a bit like a reflex scope from BO (in terms of screen obstruction) with localised night vision lens (like the night vision of COD4). Or it could just be a green dot scope.

Not at all. Thermal scopes only look at the infrared spectrum, and people become bright white because they are warm. It is practical anytime you want to make humans visible.

Night vision is light amplification. It uses whatever visible light is visible in an area and amplifies it to the point where you can see. It is only useful in the dark.

But anyway, I saw it being used in the infamous mod video, and its just another skin for the RDS. Its no different than the other three red dot sights that are are functionally identical - its just a preference thing.
