Greetings from a new courier...

Hello fellow gamers, huge fan of the Fallout universe, even bought the console game years ago and liked it more than I should have. Just registered on this forum after having been a Bethesda fan for a long time. I'm just delving into the NV legendary edition with all DLC + Project Nevada, as everyone seems to recommend that. I also added a UI interface that makes the text a lot more spacious, as I couldn't stand the vanilla.

Really loving the game so far, but had a few questions about story progression. I got kinda bombarded by quests off the bat and am wondering about the most fitting way to do them in context of the narrative. I just helped the people of Goodspring fend off Joe Cobbs gang and am headed to Primm.

What are good levels to venture into the DLC? Which DLC is first? How far along should I get in the OC before doing them? Thanks for any replies.

PS to moderators: That was the first unobnoxious anti spam program I've ever run across. I wish they all had a puzzle like that :D

Well If you read the popups on the DLC loading messages they give you recommended levels to start them. My suggestion is however, if it's your first time on the west coast, follow the suggested route and talk to everyone in the places you visit along the way. It's really introduces you to the factions and gameplay. After You finally reach Vegas your given a more or less free hand to explore all the various forks in the main story, I usually use time time to go off and start Honest Hearts. at around say level 14-16 or so? I can't remember right off hand. May it was more like 12-14. I would suggest playing the DLC in order too as they too have a background story that links them all. (Well honest hearts may not be linked to the rest...)
