Ok I have it selected on dpad the controls specify that you hit RB to throw but instead he just swings his weapon. The only way I can use grenades currently is to go into pip boy and deselect the gun so he just has his fists and then he can throw a grenade or molotov. Am doing something wrong I don't get it?

Okay worked it out I have to hold the RB button down rather than press it.
