I have previously played Oblivion just fine on my computer. Recently, the options on the launcher became greyed out (besides the website and "exit").

Did a full clean install. Same problem. Here's a list of things I have tried and what this is not:

- No mods

- Then downloaded other launchers; does not work with those

- Not a registry issue

- Not an issue with application placement

- Not an issue with authorization

- Not an issue with the INI file

- Not an issue with game cache

- Not an issue with steam cloud

- Not an issue with game overlay

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this? It's driving me crazy. I was just playing it without a problem and then all of a sudden--bam! Has there been a problematic update?
