Unfortunately there isn't, and even if there was they are marked unusable by the player. If you were to pick them up, you could not equip them or see them in your inventory. The only way to get around this is with console commands for pc.

I guess it depends what type of character you try to create. I'm guessing you don't focus on magic?

When/if the Creation Kit comes out, add a pair somewhere in High Hrothgar yourself.

Should they be avaivable too the player? Yes, I think so. I find it somewhat annoing when there are clothing and armor that the player don't have the option to use.

There's really no reason for them not to be available. It also annoys me :/

You're more or less apart of the greybeards though. I just think you should be able to get it

You're not a greybeard.. you're a dragonborn.

Your one of the only people that contact them, and they trust you enough to teach you shouts. That should be more than enough

Okay, a whole slew of posts went away because apparently people are really looking to take very minor things way too seriously tonight.

So, we start over - the OP is asking a very simple question. Please don't make another moderator come back here later to clean up again...

Personally I like the Thalmor hooded robes but they should allow you to pickpocket an equipped Greybeard Robe.

Not sure if I like the idea of them just laying around High Hrothgar or in wardrobes but if you level pickpocket all the way up and get the perk that lets you take equipped items and gear then hell why not? You earned it.
