So I am pretty new to this forum but not new to TES. I've been playing ever since that fateful day way back in 2003 when I was perusing the shelves of my local Blockbuster(y'all remember those, right?) and came across a little game called Morrowind. I didn't know it then, but that was to be one of the last trips I ever made to the Buster for a game. Fast forward 11 years, countless hours spent in game with Morrowind, about 30(disappointing) hours in game with Oblivion, more countless hours spent in game on Skyrim and a Blockbuster bankruptcy later, and here I am!
I've been reading these forums for about a month now and have really enjoyed them. I came across some comments the other day though that got me thinking. A few of you were talking about 'immersing' yourself in the game and to 'truly' do that you needed to turn off the music and the HUD. I have done this before and it really does make for an immersive experience and adds a new depth to the game. I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it yet. This brings me to my question though which I eluded to in my post topic. What about when your grinding? I'm in the midst of a grinding session with a new character i made and if I didn't have any tunes to pass the time with I think I might lose my Nordic mind! Right now I'm enchanting, smithing and alchemizing to the Tron(2010) soundtrack(original and remixed).
So, finally, my question to you all, what helps you pass the time while grinding away? Music? Movies? Theoretical physics? I've still got many hours left on this character so I'm looking for new avenues of keeping my mind sane while becoming the most BA Dovahkiin I can be!
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and sorry for the super long post. Did I mention I'm new?
