Gritty Morrowind?

Post » Thu Feb 24, 2011 8:54 am

I currently use the visual pack and I like it, but I think it makes Morrowind too bright. I was always under the impression that morrowind is a place that the other provinces look down on. It's not nice and pristine like cyrodiil, rather its dark, gritty, and dangerous to outsiders. So I'm looking for textures that make morrowind look like this. A place where not many outsiders would want to live. Anyone know of any?

Darker morrowind is the texture mod your looking for.

Darker Morrowind looks a bit too dark in certain areas, IMO. I generally mix and match instead of using one big texture replacer; the result varies depending on what I am looking for at the time. May I recommend adding http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=452 on-top of Darker Morrowind? The contrast of that combination generally looks pretty great, I think.

Of course, you could also go for something more...Extreme. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o133/Xeth-Ban/Morrowind/Scenic%20Screenshots/ScreenShot28-1.jpg, for instance. You'd have to manually change some settings in your Morrowind.ini file for that though.

yes I agree - its why i use connarys on top of darker morrowind.

and I second the Red skies - not only does it add to the dark and other world fantasy feel to morrowind but it makes lore sense to ahve a red skie with all that blight going on :D

You can't get any more gritty than that.
