Grow a Beard for Skyrim!

Post » Wed Feb 16, 2011 3:45 pm

Bah, maybe by the time it's out I'll have a beard.

I'm 18, and I'm pretty sure my moustache and beard should be bigger by now. My friend, who has at least sideburns, told me you had to keep shaving it off for it to grow back more (IE Kramer with his chest hair in Seinfeld).

True? Because, I just shaved five minutes ago in hopes that it'll come back even more this time.

It seemed to work last time... If I tilt my head into the light I can see the illusion of a handlebar moustache.

That's a myth. It only appears to grow back more full because the ends are sharp from being recently shaved. As it grows out again the ends will blunt back down. It may also appear that way simply because your facial hair is naturally beginning to grow in more thickly and would have done so whether or not you shaved.

That's actually just a myth. :c I wish it was true though. I just want to skip the fuzz-phase.

Ah, man. I totally thought it was working.

I have a weird hair scheme. I have a very, very minimal "dirt on your lip" moustache, as people my age are prone to get, and like two or three really, really long black hairs coming out of my neck.

Shave, them... I saw people with that, and I think it just makes the guys who have some long beard hairs coming out of the neck look weird... I think it's better to have a shaved beard, than have 3 long facial hairs on the chin...

I'm 19 and I need to shave every few days or I look like a tramp

It's not all good news though. My beard, unlike my hair, is ginger. I don't really know what caused this

I grow in patchy beards, but high cheek/sideburns area red, mustache blond(hair color), chin/low cheeks graying.

I don't know if I consider it awesome or awesul(awesome/awful) yet. Maybe in a few years when I hit 40 it wont be patchy at least.

As you'll note, I can't really grow a beard. I can, however, look really inadequate next to a fully bearded man, so I'll just do that.

Hmm... given my gender I can't grow a beard. But I'll grow a bonsai tree, trim it in the shape of a beard, then wear it when I go and pick up Skyrim.

Think you can stir up some support in the office for others to join our “beard off”? I'd love to see the Bethesda employees join the fun!

Well growing a beard for me is out of the question because It hardly grows at all on the cheeks but I just got off movember, so I'll grow a hairtacular stash again. 11 months... It's gonna be huge!

Hahaha, this is such a good idea! I too have been growing a beard since the end of October for No-Shave-November, and have since neglected to shave....the only problem is that I can't grow a moustache.

This is probably one of the best-lore-worded beard-growing threads ever!

Alas, I work for some barbarians who have enslaved me 5 days out of the week, and cannot grow a beard. However, if I get the chance to let it grow, I do, as my beard is 3 different colors, red, black, and white hairs. My wife finds this to be very, very sixy :hubbahubba:

Perhaps during a week-long vacation or so I can get away with not-shaving and see what I can do. To the rest of you who are not as restricted as I and others are, we are with you in spirit! Let the hair flow!

If the devs had any doubt in their minds of putting facial hair in Skyrim, it just went out the window.

No beard for me, being a girl, but l salute the beard-growers of this thread.

I'm 17 years old, so growing a beard is kind of hard for me, otherwise I totally would though.

Yeah I know what you're thinking "Hey! But you name is Lady of the Sky!" Well, sorry to disappoint, but there are no girls on the internet, guys. :chaos:

Glorious. I recently shaved my wondrous beard which came with beginning University life, but now I have a reason to grow it back, and bigger and bushier than ever!

45 here, and my beard is getting whiter by the year. You can still see brown, but the white is winning. Yeah, I'm getting old, but I'd like to think the white makes me look "distinguished". :)

Add: I think I've actually had a beard since before Arena came out. Man, I AM old.

Just put some braids in it and no one will ever doubt your wonderful beard again. :chaos:
