Those stats are not correct at all.

But gaming isnt just for kids, its a huge insustry for both kids and advlts.

So even if the stats is a lie its true that alot of people born in the 70s, 80s, 90s are gamers. Just like we still watch movies.

Lol I think society at large doesn't view it as weird for advlts to be getting excited about playing video games, especially these days when there are things out there like, for instance, groups of advlt men who are hardcoe all about some "My Little Pony".

Sounds about right. 32, with half being older and half younger sound about right. That's a range in the neighborhood of 5-65

There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.

When I was 20 I knew two old friends who were in their 50s and still enjoying playing computer games (they were still playing into their 70s). I'm now 41 and in the same boat. While I may not get as outwardly excited as I used to, I still feel a buzz over news of a new installment of an old favourite game series or movie series that is coming out. Don't completely grow up - it's a trap!

It's kinda funny the one source that was given wasn't by you, so if you were to counter argue, you should have provided one in return.

Sweet.

My Dad (55) like to play too, but only traditional FPS and simulators (his favorite game is Silent Hunter) . I presented him with a copy of Fallout 3, but I think he never played = p

Mom (55) play a few hours a day of that Facebook farm. And Freecell =p

I think you're not counting back far enough. I know a lot of people born in the 40's and 50's who are gamers.

I just want to say it's a little enlightening seeing all these older members saying they love these games. I'm 25 and feel horrible about myself for getting excited about something as time wasting as a video game (especially this series for christ sakes). This makes me feel a little better.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being excited about a new game. I'm 58, and I still get excited about a new game coming out. :)

TV is the real time waster--think about how much time people spend just sitting on the couch passively watching. I say, turn off the TV and play video games for a couple hours in the evening. Keeps the mind sharp and the reflexes twitchy!

42 here and can't wait for nov. After watching the E3 vid I ordered my xboxone. Take wii bowling to a nursing home and you'll see that pretty much noone is "too old" for video games. They love it!

That makes me the second youngest, I was 3.

Doesn't mean I missed out though, I still adore Fallout 1 and 2 after going back to them and I'm only 20.

If you ever get too old to get excited about things and people and places that you enjoy or that make you happy, then you need to check your pulse. :)

I plan to game until they have to pry a mouse or a controller out of my cold arthritic hand.
