that the last he heard from Crytek was when they were preparing for the latest DLC... which was about a month ago, we ended up talking about patching and he reckons that Crytek is not patching the game but are rather concentrating on DLC, IF this is indeed true then I'd say Crytek should not bother to make Crysis 3 on PC because if they cannot see that the game itself needs some attention then I'm sorry but hope is lost.

Well if we look back at Crysis 1 and it's patches then one could surmise that the new version has already gotten all the patches it will ever get.

Crytek, once a projected is completed, tend to move on rather quickly and as they have a new game (a console game at that) to get to release then it could be a while before anything relating to Crysis 2 appears...

you guys are all finally seeing the truth aint ya. I said it so many times b4. Why in the hell should they put resources and time in a patch that will add dx11 to a small group of pc gamers out there if they can make more money selling extra crap

Thats true Boet! I guess it's the notion that Crytek was the pinnacle of PC gaming, we're hoping they'd wake up? thats all.

More DLC bring it on!

It is worth it? Well, yeah.

Should you buy it? Hell no!

Why not? There's other priorities Crytek should take care of first. Kill bugs first, give DLC later.

This.

I keep looking here every week or so for some news regarding patches and whatnot so I might get some more action for the money, but other than that I utterly lost interest. Crysis 2 just didn't live up to what was promised in any way. The graphics are nice, but you only see half of it due to the poor draw distance settings and the oh-so-magical blur PostMSAA. SP Gameplay is ok, too. But it is nowhere near fullfilling its legacy or the stuff promised.

Crytek just is not the type of dev that -really- keeps supporting its stuff. Besides fixing the most critical errors what is done is more of an excuse.

I paid 10 bucks for magicka. I have had way more fun-per-minute with it, still having it. Those dudes are devs that care AND bleed their genius into the game.
Also: I am SOOOOOO happy Witcher 2 is there. Nuff said.
I miss the times where simply beating a game gave you the feeling of accomplishment instead of giving you an "achievement" that tells you that you have to feel good about yourself when you actually think "well... meh...".

Hey guys, this thread is being closed to simply stop any untrue rumours from spreading about. We are still working on various changes/fixes to be patched in Crysis 2 and even if you feel that you're not getting answers to everything, all of the information you've shared with us here has been extremely helpful in identifying the key issues to address.
