as long as it's here before I get home from work Friday, I will be immensely happy that a weekend will come by when I can actually play this game

This is how I feel too. I just want a weekend where I can play this game in a patched state.

Sure, these things do in fact take time.
With that said... looking at the patch notes, and the areas of the game this patch addresses. One has to wonder if you tested this game at all.
Your sales are up. In the end that's really all that matters. I can go back to Fallout 3 DLC bugs and issues. Frankly your track record speaks for itself and it plain svcks.

If that was the case they wouldn't bother in making ANY patches to the game at all. Besides that Besthsoft is the publisher as "under development at Obsidian Entertainment" They created the game. But stated before if no company cared about the game and love to get all your money then not one patch would every come out. Yet patches are coming out so it means they do care about there customers.

^thats where you're wrong..

theres still money to be made.. thats why they're patching it.. they wouldnt patch it other wise. Money to be made by DLC's see if a patch comes out after the last DLC planned.

The patch as been released on PS3 last week, don't blame Bethesda, blame Microsoft. the certification process is really painful for them. Like COD BO, patches are pretty much always getting
out on PS3 first. I guess Microsoft needs to work on the update status.

A better change log detailing such things as the changes to the Sniper and energy weapons would be nice.

As far as making things right.... Your company has my money since the release of NV. I have had nothing but issues with save errors and bugs.
Having to save every 10 minutes or before every action just to see if your game tanks another save file is, priceless.

So I might be able to play if your patch does in fact fix the issues. Jury is still out on that one.

Now you can see why I said I wouldn't mind if it arrived Thursday. I always expect the later date, that way I'm only disappointed it it arrives later than expected.

Hi Lads, long time reader, first time poster.

I have a quick question regarding this patch, i bought this game online for the 360 in amazon, and of course comes with all the bugs everybody is aware of. The thing is, i only have internet at work, as i have my xbox in a rural zone in Argentina and i dont have xbox live, neither gold or silver.

The thing is, i want to be able to patch my game as i properly payed for it as a full game, and would like to know if there will be an alternative such as getting the patch on a disc or something similar? im willing to pay the shipping as im desperate to play the game properly.

Thanks in advance

I would suspect not, but I suggest you email Bethesda support.

Come on then Bethesda...answer that one.
Thats something that affects anyone without access to XBox Live.
Are you going to hand out free disks with the patch on to everyone who contacts you?

Xbox Live silver accounts are free, you don't need to be a gold member to get patches, that would be silly.

Bring your xbox in to work, make a silver account, and get your patch.

If i had that possiblity i wouldnt have made the post, wouldnt I? Its quite far from here, i dont want to transport my console back and forth as its expensive enough to be careful with it, and i dont think that my superiors will be very happy to see me getting my console to download something from a game.

Glad to see you can do that at work tho.

Wow, you're a little sensitive, eh? Sorry you don't have internet at home. Good luck getting Bethesda to make a patch and put it on a disc, just for you.

Nice situation...

I hope Bethesda learns something from this mess and will add large warning to the sleeve of "Skyrim" when it finally ships, saying game needs internet connection to get all future patches to make the game work properly in the first place... (hoping they would test it properly BEFOREHAND is too much to ask ...right? ;) )

Hopefully this guy gets his game patched somehow :/

Didnt mean to sound agressive, but i was looking for an actual answer as i had stated that i couldnt get an account, neither silver nor gold. I reckon there must be more people in the same situation and it would be nice to get a proper answer, dont you think?

I understand, it's frustrating. Sorry if I misinterpreted your tone. I really do hope you find a way to get your game updated. It should never have been released in the state it is.

i think the best you can hope for is the game of the year edition which wont be out for quite some time.

console patches dont come on disks. a pc patch could because its an executable than you just run.

but for a console. theyd have to specifically create an updater program on the disk and that takes time, and needs mastering. not sure it can be done unless its legal and would take time going through legal channels - just in case someone sues because they think the updater disk ruined their console.
etc. etc. etc.

more hassle than its worth just for the few who cant get live in any format.

but maybe worth asking gstaff in a personal message. not the best place on the forum. youre going to get shot down.

How are you going to be able to patch any game you get for the 360 if you don't have access to X Box Live? There are no games that can be patched on the 360 that I know of without an internet connection.

You will have to find an Internet Connection that you can connect your Xbox 360 to, set up a Live account, if you don't have one, then you can get the patch.
