So now that Heists have been out, what is next for GTA V? This game seems so well polished nowadays, though the servers can be shaky at times (just a norm for Rockstar ever since...ever), and with the release of the PC version right around the corner, what will Rockstar do next with this title and what else can be done?
The bigger question/answer lays within the console version since it's pretty much impossible right now to mod successfully on the 8th gen consoles, and the 7th consoles are pretty much at their limits with the vanilla game, and as we all know the PC modders are going to have their way with this thing as soon as they can. But what other features will be added to this game? So many things seem left undone. What about the casino/horsetrack....will that ever open? Will there be expansions like they had in GTA IV? What is next for the online community?
I think when it comes to the 7th gen consoles, more could be added in some ways but there are limits. As for the 8th gen consoles, the game runs so well and stable and it barely pushes those systems. I'm hoping the PC modding community comes out with some great stuff that Rockstar pulls from it and actually implements into the game. As for expansions, I would really like to see a good expansion come off of this. GTA IV had some good expansion stories, and RDR had argubly the greatest one with Undead Nightmare. The difference between those titles and this title is that you have 3 playable characters from the vanilla game, in which they are related to each other like a couple of the supporting characters from GTA IV. Whose story could they expand on? Maybe Lamar gets into some serious ganster stuff (ala GTA San Andreas and it's turf wars...oh, that's a good idea for expanded online play)? Maybe we could play as BRUCIE BABY! That was one character I loved in GTA IV, simply because he was overly annoying with his juiced-uppityness, but a good story with him could be epic.
Maybe an expanded gameworld that would include San Fierro or Las Venturas? Or an international scene in London or Toyko.
Or maybe this is it and Rockstar moves on from their 1 1/2 year old title after the PC release (and a few more patches).
