Guards!? Won't anyone think of the Guards!?

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 4:28 am

Note: I don't know if a topic has been made on this subject, if so I apologise and will put a link redirecting people if I myself am noted of the exact same thread.

In Oblivion, I always played as a thief, or a murdered. However it really REALLY annoyed me when those damned psychic guards knew what i was doing when they were ages away and POOF i instantly got a bounty, even if the guard was not present or if I 1 hit killed the Guard via sneak so nobody would be able to report it.

I read somewhere about regional bounties which will be epic - however i hope Bethesda learn from their mistakes and make the guards more like the ones in Morrowind where they have to witness it!

Any1 else share my pain?

They have a witness system. Anyone that saw your crime must be killed before they run to a guard, and if you successfully off them, you'll get off scott-free for your crimes.

It was buggy in the hands-on previews because of farm animals acting as witnesses, but that's been fixed apparently.

Not everyone lives on this forum, or looks up Skyrim info all the time.

If you kill somone you'll get a notice of your bounty BUT if you kill all witnesses to the crime and you'll get a message that says all witnesses killed, Bounty: 0

LOL. I can just see it now: Psychic pigs and chickens communicating with guards. That would be hilarious for about 15 seconds

I think of the guards.
I like to wave at them as I go by.

and then gut them when they're not looking
