GUARS

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 11:24 am

Does anyone know if Skyrim will feature Guars? It would be silly not to include them. If V turns out fairly mediocre, the mere presence of Guars would catapult it to legendary gaming status, just like it did for Morrowind. Indeed - Morrowind was not fun or anything, it was a horrible game, but it had GUARS! And THAT is the ONLY reason why I vested several hundred hours of my life into it. I'm not sure why I did the same for IV. There weren't any Guars there.

Also, they should not be hostile. I do not want to kill a Guar.

No they shouldn't be in Skyrim. Can almost be sure they won't either.

Guars are for Morrowind. Just like how Silt Striders are for Morrowind.

I'm expecting completely new, unique animals for Skyrim :)

I'd like some furry guars with tusks, that'd be awesome!

I doubt it. Guars aren't native to Skyrim, and they seem to be lizards or lizard like. I doubt they could take the cold.

I don't know to much about the lore behind them, like if they are native only to Vvardenfell or something. Assuming they are not I would love to see them in Skyrim.

Is it just me is this the second topic with the same name made by the same person?

On topic, Guars are one of the few unique animals to Morrowind. Most of the creatures seen in Morrowind were mutated by the blight from their original form thus most of the creatures seen in Morrowind weren't actually supposed to exist. Alot of people say how the other Elder Scrolls games should have twisted creatures like Morrowind but they are supposed to be unique only to that time period and because of the events of Red Mountain.

Guars were modded into Oblivion.
Although I got attacked by one just as I set up for camp in the evening.

I would like to see something gaur-like in Skyrim, but furry.

Maybe this time around they will look a bit more like http://northernlightslive.com/2011/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Gwar-photo-NEW-band-only.jpg

I really like guars, my favorite creature in Morrowind :D
Would like to see them too but I guess that wouldn't fit cause they look like monsters which need heat :/
But maybe as an easter egg it would be cool to have a guar which is the pet of an NPC ^^

As I remember there were no guars on Solstheim so I bet they also won't be in Skyrim

€dit: found the mod :D
