guass rifle + other hard to find weapons : Fallout 4

This is a thread for people seearching for hard to find guns like the guass rifle.

1. does anybody know where you can buy/get the guass rifle other than through faction merchents. I'm talking diamond city and goodniebor, or random drops.

2. what level do you have to be to get certain weapons(a list would be great xbut I know thats alot to ask for.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gauss_rifle_(Fallout_4)it says lvl 25 is when they are sold by normal venders and where to find them before level 25 and legendaries drop after level 36 you can also buy one from the minute men when you finish their quests and their is 1 in the BoS airship in a master lock or hack room where the armory guy is standing

That still seems like a fairly early level for then to appear in vendors. Even at that level were plasma weapons rather rare to see for me.

Even despite what the wiki says and the exact level that it is apparently specified to appear at, you'll probably have to wait still.

Yeah I agree I just started seeing plasma weapons about 2 levels ago

I started seeing guards ammo about 4 levels ago

I hope I see them soon they are my favorite

What do u guys think about the railway rifle

I haven't tried, but I'm assuming you can't just mod a Gauss pistol into a rifle like other gun types?

they are good as long as you do not need a suppressor, I wish you could craft railway spikes with 1 steel though because that is all they are.

Anyway, the railroad rifle so far is my favorite

Easy ammo high power and fun to use

I have never seen one, I'm going to check if I can make one when I get home, should just be a change of the grip to comfort from a stock.

im level 55 and i have never seen a single gauss rifle for sale yet nor have i found one anywhere

dunno might have a rather low chance to spawn in shops/chests?

I've gotten them handed to me as random rewards by Desdemona from the RR. Seriously though, at level 26, you really don't need a guass rifle yet. :wink_smile:

I'm about same level, and have yet to see a vendor sell one as well...and I visit them often..(I still have the caps glitch)..

I did however steal the one at the Prydwen early on...and just yesterday got one off a legendary enemy...it was an explosive gauss...I'd rather have a 2-shot...but anyways, those are the only 2 that I have..

Yeah I do agree that you don't need a gauss rifle at lvl 28 but I personally think the same could be said for a railroad rifle as its ammo is more plentiful and it has almost had e same base dam.

Tinker Tom will have them for sale fairly occasionally from level 30+. Both Skylane crashed planes have smuggler compartments that can spawn them from level 30+. One Skylane near Tenpine Bluff, the other one is in the Glowing Sea, way south. Both smuggler compartments have master difficulty locks. Since they are locked containers, one can cheese it, by reloading the cell until you get one, if that's a thing for people. Otherwise, as mentioned in the wiki.

never went through with the update...its still paused in my downloads..(PS4)..

note: I still have to pause it every time I start the game..was thinking about just letting it update, but I still might start a third character to abuse the glitch on before another update, or DLC comes out...as soon as either one of them two occur, I will fully update FO4..

I personally have found it difficult to get a lot of caps quickly is there anyway I could uninstall the psych and still be able to play on my current save and then later reinstall on that same save after I use the glitch

Ronnie Shaw in the castle sells a legendary gauss rifle called "The Last Minute".

Its nothing spectacular but if you feel you really need one theres where you'll find it.

I think the Railroad rewards are scaled to your level so if you're a decent level you might get a gauss rifle from Desdemona, wont be a legendary one though. Tinker Tom also sells them.

what are you playing on?

I'm not sure about deleting/uninstalling updates..never tried it before..however, I would assume if you uninstalled the game, you would lose the update as well, so if you didn't want the updates, you would want to reinstall the game offline..just remember there were 2 updates, and I'm not sure what the very first update did, or how the game performs without it..

Also I'm not sure if you can use a save file created before uninstalling, and reinsatalling the game, you may have to start a new character..IDK..again I have never done any of that..those are just my speculations..
