I guess an "Evil" playthrough just aint in the cards

Sat down to finaly get a Legion playthrough in and had to can it right at the start.. Was just about to start off by helping the Powder Gangers sack Goodsprings, but went AFK to grab a snack. When I came back to the comp, my camera was doin' the free float idle thing and I saw my guys face, and I just can't play him as a villian now.

Set out to make an "average" lookin' dude, but all my random slider combos made me look like John Wayne. And ya just can't play a bad guy lookin' like the damn Duke...

That's the reason you can't be evil?
Then play as a female?
Also, if you want to side with Powder Gangers it makes little sense to side with Legion as they oppose each other.
And Legion aren't evil.
And why are you doing a pure evil playthrough anyway?
Play as a cold-hearted bastard who's out to improve his own financial situation, and places money before most else, but he has a weak spot towards family because of the loss of his wife and son.

There, you can be evil, by siding with whoever holds the cash, and be good, by helping out those who remind you of the warmth a family can give.
There's no need to be pure evil, or rather; http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StupidEvil.
It's an RPG, create a character who has his/her bad sides and his/her good sides.
But don't go "Oh I'm gonna be evil for the sake of being evil!" and side with Legion because of it. <_<

If they end up looking like John Wayne, whoever the hell that is, then make a korean character? A black character? Hispanic? How about a goth? Or a punk rocker? Create one that looks so ugly only a mother can love him?

Well it was less about playing a layered evil character and more just gonna be a BS bad guy playthrough to see some of the alternate outcomes for some of the quests.. And to grab the Legion achievments I have yet to get since I can't I hate them heh..

Near everytime I've played so far I have played more or less what you described.. Only just 2 weeks ago finaly sided with the NCR for first time, and decided I would get the Legion out of the way aswell. My normal mode of play motivated pretty much all by personal gain. I just am finding it hard to run around lookin' like John Wayne and bing a self absorbed [censored] like I normaly play.

And as for helping the Powder Gangers, like I said above it was not so much that they are bad and I was gonna be going Legion so "same same", but rather it was just something I've never done.

Anyway I just found it kinda funny that the one time I decide to go out and out "bad guy" I end up looking like one of most iconic "good guys" I know...

Right-o.
Again, black female with a punk hair-do.
That way you are a anthesesis of John Wayne.

That character you showed looked VERY fitting for an evil role. A fiend/heartless merc/ or ruthless hitman. He in no way shape or form looks friendly; sorry to say (but happy to clarify)

What the hell do you mean "John Wayne, whoever the hell that is" if you don't know who John Wayne is you must live in a hole. A deep hole. John Wayne is an American Icon.

Yeah, I must live in a hole because I don't care for some guy from the US.
And what do you mean by "american icon"? He's an icon for Mexico and Cuba as wel?

Im American and I dont know who he is. Got a problem? Hell, I dont know any celebrity/actors names either. I barely know the names of my favorite bands members. Tired of people thinking just because you dont know some famous guy then that means your stupid, a social outcast, or live under a rock.

I dont know them because I dont care.

Anyway, theres not really an evil faction, unless you count raiders, And they kill you on sight.

Just do what the Dino man said. Play someone whos only out for his own benefit. A soldier of fortune, but he still has a soft spot for something. Like twinkies. Or little teddy bears. You get the idea. If you play that way, I think House would be the best bet.
