I Guess No More DLC?

IMHO the game could not handle any more DLC without becoming unstable in some platforms.

They had to struggle for months to get dragonborn out on PS3...thay did not want a repeat

It's a shame. I've loved all the DLC additions but It would be nice to get one more. In regards to future patches, I believe they may need one or two more. Idk. I guess we'll have to wait for TES VI (PC gamers get TES Online  )

I don't think not even Skyrim PC owner out there is going to buy TESO. Many Longtime TESO fan are actually hoping to see it bomb as fast as possible so that the repercussions on future TES titles will be minimal.

Imho the decision to stop DLC development had more to do with reaching memory constraints on console.

If it was memory constraint based, ie the PS3's limitations, they could have come out and said that and done something more for the xbix/pc community. I'd have even taken a few more smaller Hearthfire type dlc's similar to Oblivions warriors stronghold or mehrune's razor dlc.

And I was a PS3 player till the delay came and traded in my copy for an xbox copy.

I personly think it had alot to do with the PS3, and all the trouble that was had with putting the extra content on the PS3.

There is also the case of the XBOX running on dvds instead of Bluray like the PS3. The PS3 has it's own problems (it's a poorly designed console that has been a huge bugger for developers); as far as the 360 goes, that may have been all the content that could possibly fit on the disc (keeping the upcoming Legendary edition in mind).

Then of course, as for the PC... If Bethesda stopped updating for consoles and released new DLC just for PC... Well, there would be endless riots. PC-goers can entertain themselves with mods, however.

Those are my two-cents. I may be way off, though.

Patching bugs has always been a low priority, that's why so many bugs still exist. Now if they could get away with selling patches, so patching was actually profitable, then things would be very different.

Eh. I know how I'm with MMOs. I'll buy TESO, I'll try to love it, but I'll ultimately fail because MMOs are just not my thing. The only thing that could draw me in is robust, dynamic economy, but somehow I doubt that it's going to be Zenimax's main focus.

I hope there is another patch too, but "minor updates" could mean a lot of things besides what most people would assume it would mean. Bethesda has done a pretty bad job communicating clearly what it truly means (to it's customers) when it comes to official comments, unfortunately, as many of us have noticed by now. Perhaps "minor updates" was referring to the announcement for the Legendary Edition that is coming out next month or it could also be referring to them making a few last comments about the game in general on their blog. Nobody really knows for sure, because Bethesda is notorious for making vague comments.

When Bethesda said "We are not done with Skyrim" months back, most of us assumed it meant more DLC, but it turned out all it meant was one more patch plus the new legendary leveling system that came with it.

The Xbox 360 was also having memory issues under some circumstances, and the PC players have an enthusiastic and active modding community, so why do DLC just for the PC players. Better they leave the die hard fans still playing with a game that actually works.

I would love it if TESO was released to consoles in the same vain as FFXI and FFXIV

although there would still a subscription fee. But it would be nice to have it on console instead of worrying whether or not my laptop can play it..

Yes, there is going to be no more dlc.

Damn, people should have got the message by now. No more dlc means no more dlc.

I agree with this, If people complain enough over the next few months with criticism that's actually constructive we may see some action. Even then I'm not holding out for anything too big.
