Guide - How to avoid Bugs & Glitches on PS4

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 5:21 am

(1) Make three manual saves slots

(2) Save every half hour

(3)Alternate between the 3 save slots every half hour

(4) Use the quicksave function once a day as a "good save" a save that you know has no problems such as not being able to fast travel or something really game breaking has happened.

If you play for a day and find something game breaking and you cant recover it within the last 3 manual saves you always have the quicksave, even if it is from the day before its better than losing the entire playthrough.

What does this do?

It stops game breaking bugs and glitches from staying in your game and your save file. Would you rather lose 1 hour at most or 40 plus hours of gameplay?

Offtopic - buy and install a SSHD for your playstation 4. Youtube or google it. It will make a world of difference for fallout 4, other games and your system itself. No lag, no fps drop, fast loading speeds.

as good advice as this is, there plain and simply shouldn't be a need for it.

that's IF they even do anything in that 6 months, with no response from any Bethesda staff members we don't even know if they care/are doing anything about any of it.

Last time I buy a game on release day that's for sure, How do such big game breaking bugs even make it through production?

I Always do this..but I use 6 rotating saves. I like to have plenty to fall back on. Anyone who's ever played an open world game before knows the advantage of the rotating save. There's just too many things that can go wrong to try to rely on autosaves or quicksaves. Have to admit, the quicksave function is pretty nice. I use it between my rotating saves.

Honestly if they tested everything, we should not have to do this or worry about game bugs at all. Like I said in a previous post. WE are the game testers, WE are meant to run into these bugs.

But I'll definitely do this more once everything is resolved.

It's just that we get so immersed into the game that saving becomes forgettable :\ We want to play the game without worrying about these kinds of things.

I do use the quick save feature, I also do rotation saves but it still doesn't justify the fact that we should not have to encounter these bugs.

But yes it is important to save like this... not disagreeing with this post at all

The problem is that I shouldn't have to do that. It's not on me to make sure my game doesn't break.

Yeah, we shouldn't have to do this. It's not my job to be a game tester (though, if they want to pay me, I'd gladly test their games before release). If Bethesda wanted to slack off in the week before FO4 premiered, fine, but they should have seen this backlash coming from miles away.

It's not really backlash. Reddit is still all over Bethesda's dike.

That's a bullsh*t excuse. Maybe if Bethesda kept working up to a deadline, game breaking glitches wouldn't be in all these common quests.

I agree, but I've been playing large open world games for many years now so i know these problems exist in many games and many development companies. I always save before i enter a new building or hand in a quest, and so far i havent had one issue with fallout 4.
