A Guide to Merging with TESIVGecko

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:57 pm

Thanks,I had checked it ingame, but I was hoping the effect would last and wouldn't shut down after playing a while.
This is really useful since I've got a couple of little game tweaks, which would otherwise take up to many esp slots.

One more question though, a mod like custom spell icons doesn't do that much, so would I be able to merge this as well, since it has
both an esp and esm file. So would the esm file still load with the esp file merged into another mod?

Yeah I wish that mod were integrated into a magick overhaul or something.

Does the esp require the esm as master? If so then whatever you merge it to would have the esm as a master.

I believe the author of that mod (forgot name now) stated the esp and esm could be merged at the price of greater load order functionality - best to contact them about it.

I just checked it and the esm doesn't show as one of the masters in wrye bash. But I wouldn't merge the esm and esp,
don't know why, but I would like to keep those separate, instead, I was planning to merge it with some other small magical tweaks
I've got lying around. Anyways, thanks for the answer

I'm having a problem when merging plugins. We are creating a mod and and each of us (five modders) are working on the same file but different locations on the new world space. If I use the merge plugins feature I get the same world space many times e.g world space and wprld spaceX. Both world spaces have different content. I also tried to create patch and then apply patch. But when I open the patched esp cs gives million errors. I don't remember the exact error report but it was something like error adding cell(xxxxxxx) to world space (xxxxxx) cell will be destroyed. I also tried comparing plugins and then merging the gecko clipboard.esp to our mod. It worked parially. The interiors were the changes to exterior cells weren't.

What is the right way to merge our plugins without getting duplicates an so that everything is in one worldspace.
