(Guild)Thornblade is looking for membersofficers

Post » Wed Mar 05, 2014 6:25 am

Hello everyone, it's astonishing to watch how quickly threads are created on this temporary forum. I've scanned a few pages, as well as the note on the top on how easily guild recruitment posts get lost here, and figured we'd try and entice a few of you who may be interested (if not for checking out the competition) in Thornblade as one of your 5 guilds.

For starters you can find more information on us here: http://thornblade.enjin.com/home

-That's http://thornblade.enjin.com/home

If you have Raidcall or don't mind using it we have a small group forming that hangs around discussing the game and other things while we wind down the month to release. Simply download Raidcall and search for either of the following:

Name: Thornblade (ESO)
ID#: 8273803

Who we're looking for:

Members who want a small team environment where everyone knows your name:

PvE focused in progression groups for dungeons/raids

PvP focused in specialized units for offense/defense in Alliance Warfare and arena teams. We haven't decided on a faction yet, and will refrain until we have a good understanding of where the best competition is.

Crafters who are willing to cut deals in exchange for resources provided by the guild for member provisioning.

RPers that can create sessions based on the wants/needs of those players who enjoy a casual atmosphere.

Thornblade's Goal:

To provide a close-knit community without selling ourselves out and reducing our members to faceless masses for the sake of claiming more numbers or "dominating a campaign." We'll win as we always have: Tactically, providing the greatest results with the smallest effort on the part of our members through effective officers and utilizing the tools available to us so everyone can enjoy what they love most about the game without burning themselves out in grinding levels, pvp kills, crafting materials, and failing to kill bosses.

We don't anticipate getting more than 50 or 100 members, depending on the requirements to unlock guild features, and will utilize alliances in order to maintain dominance on the campaign maps without requiring constant drop-what-you're-doing support to maintain guild resources. If you're a leader or representative for another guild and would like a potential alliance, feel free to reach me via PM here or on our site.

Yes... this was the post I was referencing at the top. It never states we can't post a recruitment thread here, we're just throwing a post out here to drum up any that may be interested as well as the resources it provides.

That is actually the thread the mods reference every time they lock a recruitment thread

Hopefully your thread won't be closed as then I would be able to reopen my guild thread! Best of luck with your recruiting

Ah, well that would explain the wordless post with a link to the recruitment thread note. Guess I'll just have to follow suit and post enough for "members" status and upload a plug into my signature as well.

Much appreciated! If they didn't want any guild recruitment posts you'd think they would have noted it at the top instead of simply locking them. The only thing they have is their "concern for the (recruitment) posts getting lost"

Membership status and the ability to link gained! Hasn't been locked yet, so here's to hoping they allow guild recruitment posts here again.

Why yes lego, Thornblade's looking for players willing to do what they can when they can. Elitism is nice, but regular players get more results with 80% less drama. ;-)

So...

Does this mean we can recruit here now? Because if these guys haven't had their thread locked but everyone else has had theirs locked, that tells me there's been a rule change and I need to start my own recruitment thread now.

*shrug* There's nothing in the stickies prohibiting guild recruitment threads, merely voicing a concern that they would get lost. An admin's been on and trolling the forum and hasn't stopped us yet, so here's to Thornblade for sticking our necks out there for the benefit of all!

Not busting your chops, bro. Just wondering if this changed. In the past every recruitment thread was locked quickly, but that doesn't appear to be the case anymore.

I'll just bump your thread while I try to figure out if I can post my own.

Interesting I thought we couldn't post about guild recruitment here. Nice to see that were allowed now though as I was looking for a guild myself!

Yes and you're welcome within Thornblade Allumis!

Getting members on a game that hasn't been released is proving a fun challenge, and we're interested in players that want to establish a small effective team in whatever they love without the mindless droning of an overcrowded guild chat.

We haven't decided yet, and the list of reasons is extensive but to sum it up we didn't want to put a limit on which races our PvPers who didn't opt in for the Imperial edition could be until we have a bit more information on the competition from other guilds on the Alliance Warfare front.

If you have a preference or would suggest one over another head on over to our forums and toss some advice in our poll on the matter, it'd be greatly appreciated!

You don't need the Imperial edition to play any race, any faction. You only need to pre-order the game. Standard or Imp.

Must have misread the bonuses, and thank you very much for the clarification Carde.

You know you want to toss a guild recruitment thread out there too- do it! Thornblade demands it!

Sounds intresting. I wil be doing both pve and pvp. I hope to find a guild with very high teamplay and great tactics when it comes to pvp, without the drill sergeant eyeballing me with every move.

I got some great plans for a build when it comes to large scale battles, the bigger the better. It wil be weak at first, but wil shine at 50. So i wil be doing pve untill 50, and raids to chek em out, gear up a bit, depending on what sets wil drop in raids.

I wil be rolling a dark elf so i hope you go with EP.

I don't have the leeway to risk it until someone clarifies it or more people start doing it, lol.

Glad I could clear that up. Now get your asses to DC side because we're severely undermanned according to all of the polls ever made and from viewing the campaign lists this last weekend. AD and EP were locked in almost every campaign, whereas DC was locked in one and medium or lower pop. in all of the others.

You're more than welcome to drop by Thornblade and start putting together some pieces before launch Grote- the cool thing about having 5 guilds you can be apart of at once means you can dabble and find what works for you and what doesn't. Just be mindful we just put up the website yesterday and are in the process of pulling everyone in from other games that ARE active into a community for one that isn't yet.
