Pretty much, yeah.....

it did have nice gameplay once they fixed all the bugs, and it did have lots and lots of weapons which was cool! But it was a let down to the fallout community at the time when we were expecting FO3.

And if you say you enjoyed Fallout Brotherhood of steel, the fallout community will never speak to you again.

Nope. I enjoyed it too. It was a fun game for what it was. But a lot of people didn't enjoy it because they wanted F3 (Van Buren F3). i enjoyed the extra dimensions of being able to lay down, crouch etc.

me as fallout fan and jagged alliance fanatic ...
( played FA1 maybe 4 times FA2 6 or something but JA2 surely 10 times)
guess what? i pre-ordered FA tactics  wasn't able to finish it tho because a 'friend' borrowed it and never returned...
the crouching, moving in teams throwing grenades... it was a nice shooting game combined with fallout flavour ...just like the one beth made...

I really liked it and as mentioned most hated it because it was a tactical shooter and not an RPG like FO 1&2. People weren't expecting it and that kicks in the Nerd Rage perk for most "fans" :D

A fan of Fallout's Gameplay, need not be a fan of Tactic's gameplay
~Indeed, I played through the tutorial, and then gave it away.

(but I would have like an F3 done with Tactic's combat rules ~preferably just the TB side, but both TB and RT would have been acceptable, so long as RT was optional.)

I got into Fallout Tactics but only the second time playing it.

It was a pretty good game with a few basic flaws, but over all I liked it. I quit playing in the escort the hummer mission and never went back but I can't recall why.

I have to add I LIKE RT combat from a isometric view. I think X-Com Apocalypse did this better than any game I've played to date, and I wish a few of those features made it into FO:T.

No, I enjoyed Fallout Tactics too. It cannot really be compared with its two predecessors, since it is more of a strategy game than an RPG.

But it rocked my world, especially with its editing tool, range of weapons and its very own version of advanced power armor. And yeah, being able to stand, crouch, or lie prone on the ground was a big surprise for me (in comparison to FO1&2). And don't forget the APC and TANK. :P

Hell yeah! I enjoyd it quite a bit, actually.
Contrary to a lot of other people, I knew it wasn't gonna be another Fallout-RPG.

Why?

Fallout TACTICS, eh?

^Right, just like the Final Fantasy series and Final Fantasy TACTICS.

Made me recall back then when I was expecting a sequel to Fallout 2, realizing that Fallout Tactics wasn't very much an RPG game was indeed a bit of a disappointment. But then again, after playing it, I said "Weell, it is still Fallout!". :P

I loved tactics especially roaming the wastes with the armoured car full of rifle, heavy gun wielding loonies :)
