Gun attachment ideas for New Vegas

That'd be some kinda magic. The 10mm's a pretty hot round.


well to be fair the game don′t need to follow realism like a slave, it is a 10mm, it has a silencer on it and thus is silent. Don′t need to be more complicated then that, to be frank I don′t see the need for a specific sub-sonic ammo in the game, seam just like one more type of ammo to keep track of in return for having just a tiny slice of realism to the game.

The best thing they could do is to add a flash light mount. The pip boy light svcks and it would be awesome if you could see far down the hall of a dark building or if there were buildings that were almost completely dark and you had to use lights.

It would be cool if you could make sawed off weapons so you could sneak them easier in casinos,

Also needs SILENCERS

I agree. If they put flashlights into the game, I would like dark places to be darker. Darker as in, not being able to see at all without a flashlight(or pipboy light, but to a lesser effect).

Yeah. I'm the custodian of the confirmed weapons list. I'll check my notes to see if I wrote down where he talked about sub-sonic, but I might not have written it down since he did not specifically name the ammo caliber or weapons it would effect. I'm assuming .22LR since there's been confirmed a .22 silenced pistol, and it could also apply to certain other pistol rounds. I'kk see what I can do, though.


please do, I′m sincerely curious to know this, mostly because I don′t see the need for it and just wanna read it from the lips of the devs.

Flash light obviously

Silencers/supressors

Laser sight?

An attachment that increases the weapon health of the gun.

rate of fire increases

more damage upgrade?

Maybe some guns could have modified barrels and use more than just one type of ammunition(caliburs), in hardcoe that would be very useful. I'm not a gun person but I think some guns can fire different types of rounds that would be nice.


PS: Please no grenade/shotty attachments, we have a grenade machinegun/grenade rifle and plenty of shotguns to choose from.
Also why would there be a golden gun in fallout........ :facepalm:

Oh wait you can never have enough shotguns

not directly, some guns have been made so by swapping barrels and parts you can fire different rounds, but you can make a gun that has one barrel that can be altered to change rounds.


and to be frank I would find it to crippling of the hardcoe mode to have such a convenience.

Some people want them, I really don't care if we get laser sights, just listed what some people have said. But I hear theres going to be a laser sight for the minigun.

well one simply way it could work would be by giving you a buff to the the corresponding gun skill whenever the gun was used.

Well the only why I can see laser sights being used is if it improves accuracy for VATS. Not sure it would be good for Real time though.

well since real time is affected by your skillpoints the boost would help the gun be more accurate that way.

yes there is confirmed at least normal buckshot and slugs, beyond that we don′t know.

Well I just wanted to know if this is in the game? I guess it would be pretty cool if your trying to run away or stun someone, but they should put tasers in to do that.

Looking through that list, I'm surprised 12GA wasn't on there. Seems like it would have been for at least the Combat Shotgun.

I would like some sort of alt. sight besides a scope for firearms; and some clever attachments/modifications for melee weapons would be most surprising.
PS. I wonder if adding a sight/scope will increase accuracy for npc's wielding the weapon.
