Guns!

http://nooooooooooooooo.com/

Cannons and siege weaponry, perhaps. It was logical for the naval battles during Redguard to involve cannons because I can imagine wizards trying to shoot fireballs at each other from 40 meters away being terribly inefficient.

You're using the instant Noooooo improperly. It's meant to be used after something bad has happened to show your reaction and distaste. For example:

Me: Skyrim sure sounds fun, Friendo.
Friendo: Hmmm... I heard that Todd accidentally all the attributes.
Me: Noooooooo!

I haven't read all the pages yet, but as I said in the other 3 or 4 threads like this. NO! NO guns. You want guns, there is a game called Fable 3. You want Guns there is a game called Fallout 3.

This is TES. This is not Fallout 3 with Magic. We already have, oops... no we don't have cross bows do we now. Well I guess we have Todd to blame for this then.

Todd put back cross bows back in so we don't have this bloody guns in TES games anymore.

No. Have you ever played the Fable series? Did you even SEE how it went downhill?

Even though I love fantasy that breaks out of the cliche medieval setting (I've recently begun reading Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy, where while guards wear metal briastplates and swords, the technology and fashion is reminiscent of the late 18th/early 19th century), TES with muskets is just wrong.

Oh how juicy! ^^ He says guns!
I really don't want to poo poo on your enthusiasm... but let's keep guns in Fallout 3 and left out of Elder Scrolls. Because then there will no longer be a point to having magicka, arrows, or even Dragonshout.

The closest thing to a gun in TES I believe should be a crossbow.

I don't mind traditional gunpowder but I'd like to see it in the game through alchemy. Muskets don't really bother me but they should be very rare and high level (they changed warfare when they were introduced).

I like the idea of gunpowder being in the game much like the way it was in Tolkien's fantasy. The wizards knew of it and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BJXa1atVTM#t=4m55s

No thanks towards guns. Bad idea is bad.

You include muskets in this game, whats the next installment going to have? M16's ?

Just really bad idea.

I honestly could picture muskets in Skyrim. But I don't think they should be in the base game. But somebody I'm sure will mod them in.

this

adding guns would mean that any game after skyrim would have guns- although perhaps not so much as oblivion got rid of crossbows

Skyrim is a land of Nordic warriors. Warriors don't fight with guns. They punch dragons in the face.

You just made me consider making my first ever Hand to Hand character in a Bethesda game when Skyrim rolls around.

Guns hellz yeah, lots of em.I also want to be able to mount a tank and be able to turn into a spartan.
Someone else mentioned killstreaks too which is a great idea.I wanna be able to save up my nuke for Alduin.
Not to mention jetpacks,im pretty sure the Dwemer were working on all this stuff anyway,so it only makes sense lore wise. :read:

lol, slippery slope fallacy much? Nice arguement against. Hate to break it to everyone, but there's all ready TES version of the gun. They call it a staff and I do believe if they got rid of staffs people would flip the hell out.
