I ran across a guy who offered to sell me his dog as a companion to mine. It apeared to be the rottweiler type. I didnt take him up on the offer and he went on his way, and appeared to be a roaming NPC.

Has anyone bought his dog? If so, how is combat with two dogs? Anyone know where he can be found?

Seriously? We can swap out the dog for a Rottweiler? That's what I have in RL so I was hoping to mod Dogmeat into one, but I won't have to if this is a replacement for him.

Yeah i've met the guy at my Twin Pines Bluffs settlement, but i didn't take him up on it yet. It's an older Rottweiler a little on the lean side and it has scratches all over its muzzle like it used to be a fighter

I bought the dog and sent him to Sanctuary. Haven't found the dog at Sanctuary, although I haven't really looked. But, when I tried to approach the dog before he headed off to Sanctuary his name was "junkyard dog" and there weren't any options to interact. I think I might have been scammed.

Ran into him at my settlement too. I didn't buy the dog though because I have one. I did however run into a woman selling a brahmin. I bought it and followed it back to my settlement then built a brahmin feeder for it. It just hang out around the feeder.

I am curious, saw the feeder on the sttlement tool, but does the brahmin do anything? can you use as resource?

I was helping the BoS with their ghoul problem when I heard gunfire in the street and saw him being attacked by a bunch of overflow ghouls. I left the paladin with the hulking tank armor to fend for himself and went to rescue this guy. I wanted the dog, but when I asked him why he was offering it up instead of just accepting it for the caps, he had some kind of midlife crisis moment and decides he's keeping the dog and I'm SOL. I was pretty shocked lol, almost killed him but I controlled myself.

I also bought this dog and had him sent to sanctuary where I have looked for him extensively and been unable to find him. Either this was a scam, the dog died along the way, or a bug. I however really want my rotty

Try looking behinds the houses in Sanctuary. Dismissed dogs hang out near dog houses.

On topic... I tried to buy the dog, met the guy just outside the museum in Concord. Failed a charisma check i think. Had to push A and it was yellow. Failed.

Look for any dog houses in your settlement where you sent it. I had a dog hosue right outside my house, that's where he went, he generally stays around the dog house. It's a guard NPC, that you can't assign. It adds like 4 defense points to your settlement total.

I am assuming in build mode you can move the dog house around?

You can move it and you can build them.
