Guys, just stop.

Post » Mon Mar 25, 2013 2:47 am

Seriously, stop with the Civil War threads. Everyone and their moms have done it nowadays so, just stop. You'll make more forum clutter. And if it's possible, I'd like Beth to do either of the following:

1. a filter for any thread related even in the slightest detail to the Civil War.
2. a rule that forbids anyone from doing Civil War threads any more.

Who gives a damn about who you support? I don't. And honestly, the more, the better.

Only reason I keep getting involved in them is because I think it's fun and I like to point out the many flaws of the dying empire.

Its pretty much down to arguing for the sake of argument.

Pretty much, but some people like to argue.

I agree that it is a touch tiresome. Not so much the topic, but the way it is generally 'debated' and 'expressed'.

Which is basically why I want the Civil War threads to stop. Every argument has been found, let's leave it at that.

Nobody is forcing you to read every post. You have my permission to not read or participate in Civil War threads. People discuss same things over and over again in forums. New people come into the forum all the time.

I don't see a problem letting one or two megathreads continue. You don't have to click on them if you don't like them.

Then why not making a sticky post actively dissuading them from making a thread related to the Civil War?

Making a thread about the civil war threads is kind of...pointless?

Let people have their fun. I find reading them to be a good time waster some time. The forum isnt made just for you. If there are enough people making threads and having fun dicussing, you not liking them isnt good enough to stop them.

Why discuss it? Because we want to and it is not breaking any forum rules to do so. You are not obligated to even enter the thread, much less participate.

I don't mind Civil War threads, I just don't like all the self-righteous posters

Also, commanding people to stop doing something is just about the worst thing you can do to get them to stop.

Because there's no rightful reason to make people stop.

It's not that I don't like them, it's that there is too many of them.

Sticky threads for very recurrent subjects, this I support: civil war, favorite race and a few others that are the most duplicated.

Alright, just chill out. I think you're overreacting. No one is forcing you to read them, so just calm yourself down. Unecessary anger usually only results in YOU getting punished, not the posters of a civil war thread, It has to do with in-game, correct me if im wrong but mods themselves have even posted on it. Not being mean, but if you got trolled on a thread, dont hate the thread, hate the poster of the comment that made you mad. Now as I said, put the keyboard down. Please.
Edit - Judging by your posts on the

Race and political allegiance poll: Empire or Stormcloaks?

Thread, This thread is just a rage thread and needs to be taken down. Because youre pointing out a specific group of people and in one way or another, harassing them.

Then ask for an official Civil War Thread. Or create an unofficial Civil War thread.

The problem is, sticky or not, they are not closed at 200 posts? They will reach 200 in a second.

It's not because of some random post. It's simply that the sheer number of the threads that inhabits this forum. At this point, they should have their own category. Just saying.
