H3RMES Armor

Post » Sun May 15, 2011 5:34 pm

I like it. Looks like the Enclave elements that snuck into the NCR were behind this one. Way cooler looking than the tan LEGO man armor the NCR hands out to its regular troops.

Oh yeah, that armor is sixy. If I don't find a suit of power armor I like, I will definitely be wearing that.

It's great to walk around New York and see that armor on buses and cabs everywhere. :D

Wait, when was it confirmed that it's called "H3RMES" armor? I remember the thread showing us the number, and I know about H3RMES armor but how are we sure that's what it's called?

I don't think it was ever confirmed to be the Hermes armor. Pretty sure everyone jumped the gun with wild speculation.

does it matter? we all know what they're talking about anyways Hermes/Desert Ranger Armor/Trailer Armor, same thing.

It's not like the forum gets questions like "Can we wear that "wasteland settler outfit"?

I know, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's what the armor is called. It's likely that's what it's called but I don't want to stop calling it Desert Armor :D

I have no problem with using the speculative name for the time being (I'm going to call it Hermes armor to avoid that gay tech 1337 talk). Just seeing if that was the name, since it seems kind of odd since they usaully use general names, like combat armor, or power armor instead of it actual name.

Anywho, I will definitally be wearing "Hermes" armor alot, its what I've always wanted, well besides a pony of course, and my rock, I've always been fond of rocks, I shall name him Charlie, I'm talking about the rock of course, Ponies can't be named Charlie, BLASPHAMY!....but unicorns can.

I love it. It's gotta be NCR special forces armor. It looks as if the Enclave took a crack at Combat Armor.

Do we know this armor is powered? It's not supposed to give super strength by the description from Van Buren.
If it is powered I think it's very limited. Maybe enough to carry it's own weight so that its perceived weight when worn is less, but not enough to give STR bonuses.

Van Buren is scrapped though, so it may not be precisely as VB was.

Anywo. The armor looks cool, but I may just stick to traditional combat armor, Or maybe the tuxedo, man that tuxedo is spiffy. But I MIGHT wear the Hermes armor as long as the in game name is Hermes and not Leet Speak.

I'm thinking that the Hermes helmet would go well with other armors too. It seems like it would work with any combat armor, as well as with power armors.
