I was playing Daggerfall in DOS box when I noticed a message "DAG123" 'something, something' in the NPC conversation topics for your character to ask about.
Anyway I went along and met Lady Brisienna and I went into the backroom of the inn after talking to her and saw a naked woman crouching down in the middle of the room.
I would assume hackers put her there because of the DAG message.

Has anyone else noticed something like this?

Peak around in enough inns and temples, and you will see your share of nvde women.

The scant-clad women in the inns actually belong to their own faction, the prosttutes, and it is even possible to do quests on behalf of this faction and gain reputation with it. The quests resemble merchants' quests, though; you don't actually do any pimping or thuggery

Daggerfall has nvde women. It's not a hacker's doing.
In many taverns you'll find them. They are prosttutes.

If you visit the House of Dibella, you'll see naked women as well. Three monsters are naked women. And you can remove all your clothes to be naked.

And you can find paintings of nvde women as loot.

Nothing wrong with that.

Nope. No graphical nudity.
Unless you consider three women in underwear performing weird dance moves in a club nudity.

The dialogue can be suggestive at times, but it's really a Teen rated game.

Nah, Morrowind's safe (far as I know), unless you add nvde body mods. Your mother should be fine

Ahh yes... the Daggerfall version of "The Real Barenziah..." Fun book.

In Daggerfall the dunmer are notoriously lascivious but the dunmer of TES III are quite prudish. Given that the game takes place on the holy island of Vvardenfell I think this is reasonable; consider France and Italy, two nations often characterized as having great sixual charge but also home to very conservative Catholics.


Of course while this is a good in-game explanation I think it's safe to assume that exterior forces had an influence as well. Unlike Daggerfall, Morrowind came out at a time when games were mainstream and were attracting more regulation and scrutiny. Morrowind also had much better graphics which made nudity far more explicit, if Daggerfall had Morrowind-quality graphics there's a good chance it would be rated AO.

Well yeah, but it's not like we'd want to see nudity with Morrowind's graphics anyway. It shocked the heck out of me to learn that Almalexia was supposed to be attractive.

So the nudity was explained, but what about this DAG123 message he mentioned? Where's that from? I've never seen it.

Ahh Daggerfall.. pity the sequels were so sterilized . I was 14 when I got it so man did I have fun with this one.

I remember clicking on the enterence to the temple of Dibella.. and then hearing my mom coming. Fortunately it was still loading when she went by XD
