I had an extra endif

Post » Mon Jun 28, 2010 1:06 pm

Once upon a time...

I had an extra endif in my code.

But, it wasn't your every day, ordinary, extra endif. It was in a 500 line segment of code that is very endify. I searched and searched, and I couldn't find that extra endif. But I knew it was there, and it was screwing my code.

Finally I was like, ugh, I can't take it any more! and I went to www.cipscis.com and put the script into Cipscis' script validator.

And it found it!!!!

Yay for the cipscis script validator! http://www.cipscis.com/fallout/utilities/validator.aspx

The End

We need to make a movie out of that. But with Michael Bay so things are constantly, and excessivly exploding, for no reason. Best. Movie. Ever.

Hey, thanks Tarrant! This is exactly the reason why I decided to write my validator; I'm so glad to hear that it helped so much in finding that stray "endif".

If anyone using my validator is looking for something with a little extra functionality, I've got a new version currently under development that can be found here - http://cipscis.com/dev/validator/validator.html

Yea! So that in 200 years when the world is practically destroyed, someone all alone, wanderering the wastes will find a run down computer with it on it. (See what I did there?) :hubbahubba:

But it really is an incredibly helpful tool! I frequently run my scripts through just to be safe. ^_^ :intergalactic: :foodndrink:

Cipscis
It's probably my most frequented bookmark. :) That tool is indispensable. Thank you for it.
