Hadrir The Miner - Lost Prospect Mine

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:07 am

You know that miners journal you find in Lost Prospect Mine ? About the miner Hadrir who was working for his buddy Bern whom bought the mine at a super cheap price. Then as the journal goes on, Hadrir is complaining that there was no precious metals to be mined out of the mine. And it mentions he went to Riften for supplies, and when he came back he couldn't find his buddy Bern. He thought he left him, so the journal mentions he is upset at Bern and "he expected better from him", and so he is heading back to Riften to look for him there and/or find work there.

Well, low and behold if you look around in the mine you find several Gold Veins to mine ore from AND you find his buddy Bern's body all crushed from a cave in.

Ok, know the place now ?

Well I have the gold ore, and his journal and I want to find him to let him know his buddy didn't leave him and give him this ore to help him out. Also give him his journal as proof I really was there and I know what I'm talking about.

So anyway, I headed to Riften to find dude, and I can't find him anywhere. So I ask, has anyone else found him ? And is the more to this story line ? Where can I find him ?

Thanks -

There's no NPC in the Creation Kit called Hadrir. :(

Dang, ok, thanks for the clarification. You know, I could be spelling the name wrong (as it is so hard to read the text clearly on my TV). But after triple examination, I swear, it is Hadrir.

But maybe to ease my mind, someone could chime in to verify I am reading the spelling of the name correctly from the "Miners Journal" of Lost Prospect Mine ?

Thanks guys -

Yes, it's Hadrir in the journal, and the closest spelling to that for a walking, talking NPC is Hadring who runs the Nightgate Inn.

Hadrir may show up as a corpse somewhere (I didn't check that), however, but this would only be useful as closure since you wouldn't be able to speak to him.

Ok, well I guess thats that. Man, thanks a lot for spending the time for me to check on this. Oh well, I guess just another fantasy of mine that doesn't get played out. :bonk:

This guy Hadrir is rather impatient is I guess how the writers/developers wanted to portray his characterization, as all he had to do was check the mine he was working in a little closer to find wealth and his buddy. Then he just runs off and disappears ? Jesus. Tried to help the guy, but some people man... lol - :shakehead:

Thanks again for your extra efforts.

He may be a wealthy merchant in the Imperial City by now... :P And fat too, since he couldn't jump to find the gold.

Sadly, no. Hadrir was still on his way back to Riften when he was eaten by a dragon you could have killed had you not been so busy stealing the gold out of his mine. :P
