At the beginning of the level.. I did not know I had to uncage the creature... I went into the main room and kill the boss... Now there's just an arrow over its head and I cannot collect my item?!? Any help

Ok, this is the wrong forum, this is the Elder Scrolls Online forum, this thread should be in the Skyrim forum.

I'm not sure what quest you're talking about either, what's the quest called?

Reading the UESP it says that there may be a bug associated with that quest, are you on PC or console?
